An overview of the role:

The Art Director is an internal role in the Global Marketing team, responsible for the direction and brand evolution of the frog visual expression. This position leads the direction design and strategy for frog’s marketing program. You will have primary responsibility for frog marketing projects as a day-to-day design leader and guide designers, technologists, program managers and editors. You should be eager to involve colleagues and stakeholders in the design process, highly responsive to feedback, and excited to present your team’s ideas in front of executives. Visual design at frog balances spirit and rationality; brand and application; functional clarity and emotional impact.

 

Why this role?

As the Art Director for frog,  you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.  Key expectations from this role include:

  • Lead a team of two / three designers to achieve the highest level of performance without compromising timelines and team harmony.
  • Set quality standards for the frog brand, with a deep understanding of the audience, business requirements and constraints.
  • Lead and contribute to develop insights, define, and prioritize opportunity areas, and envision concepts for new initiatives for the frog brand.
  • Manage direct reports and coach and mentor junior colleagues, providing guidance and support for their growth, and specific and actionable feedback.

We'd love to meet someone with:

  • Extensive professional visual design experience
  • Highly developed design skills, demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work
  • Experience in branding strategy supported by critical analysis of business KPI review.
  • Proficiency with contemporary research, design and prototyping tools and methods
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide high performing teams using persuasion and influence (rather than command and control)
  • Experience collaborating in multifunctional teams as the visual design lead
  • An outstanding track record as a design leader and contributor for experience strategies, design systems, products, services and customer experiences that delight customers/users and achieve business results
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Preferably good management consulting experience
  • A cademic, professional, or life experience from outside the design field that enriches your perspective as a designer
  • Business level ability in English
