An overview of the role

As a (Consultant/Senior Consultant) Cloud Data Platform Architect, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers successfully modernize their data platforms, migrate them to the Cloud native platforms, and infuse AI in existing solution. You will work closely with clients and partners in guiding them in building new solutions that incorporate the very best of Data & AI solution available today, by providing architectural deep dive and hands-on expertise.

•    Experience in migrating from one data platform to another and holistically addressing the unique challenges of migrating to a new platform, from business case, TCO to the actual technical implementation.
•    Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position is essential. We are looking for passionate people who have deep data platform experience, but also ability to operate as an advisor to senior data leaders in client organisations.
•    Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Skills and Expertise

•    Be a technical expert on all aspects of some or all of the cloud native Data Analytic Platforms such as Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, EMR, Athena, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, DataProc, Cloudera, etc
•    Guide customers through the process of migrating to appropriate target platform though architectural deep dive and improving current methodologies to provide clients a seamless migration process
•    Work hands-on with clients to demonstrate and communicate implementation best practices on the target migrated platform, ensure training and enablement is achieved so clients are comfortable with their new target operating model.
•    Maintain deep understanding of complementary technologies on all AWS, Azure and GCP
•    Extensive hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics. Python, Terraform (or similar) and CI/CD skills will be an added bonus.
•    Extensive knowledge of and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, Greenplum, etc.)
•    Presenting skills is key, need to convey value to both technical and executive audiences, on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
