The forensic accounting services team is a partner led team in the PwC Deals practice.

This is a unique opportunity for a high-performing qualified accountant who wishes to advance their career with like-minded, highly motivated, analytical, inquisitive professionals in support of building a best-in-class Forensic & investigations Services team.

The team’s core areas of work include dispute advisory services, financial crime and regulatory investigations, whistleblowing advisory services and integrity due diligence services.

Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing initial analyses and providing summaries of complex accounting, financial and economic issues

  • Reviewing documents to identify items relevant to an investigation or dispute

  • Assisting with compiling, analysing, and documenting facts for matters under investigation or in litigation

  • Assisting in developing and/or evaluating damages, claims and calculations

  • Preparing financial models, cash flow analysis, and other analyses to support economic loss/damage assessments

  • Assist with drafting reports and findings, including the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts that will be delivered to clients and other third parties, including the Courts

  • Performing industry and company research utilising online tools and publicly available information, assisting in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients

  • Assisting with researching technical and industry specific issues

  • Team and business development

Requirements:

  • Experienced in forensic accounting services and a desire to build a career in the area

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Experienced in professional services and engagement management / delivery 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or another business-related field

  • Possess an objective, fact-based approach to problem solving

  • ACA or ACCA qualification

  • Have excellent listening skills and can incorporate the views and ideas of others
