An overview of the role:
The Digital Operating Model team is part of Capgemini Invent’s growing Business Technology practice. We are looking for talented individuals to join the team, and to support our clients transform their digital-technology operating models, covering the full change-cycle, from analysis-and-design, to implement-and-optimise.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with C-suite-, and senior leadership teams to help them shape the digital vision and case-for-change for their organisations
- Own key aspects of digital-tech. operating model transformation programmes, which could include:
- Defining operating model design options, and working with the client team to select the “best-fit” option for elaboration
- Defining multi-year transformation roadmaps, underpinned by evidence-based business cases
- Identifying opportunities for improvement (for example in the way the delivery or operations processes are executed), using benchmark-data and/or best-practice concepts
- Working with senior- and line-management teams, to help them transition to new ways-of-working, or to adopt new behaviours
Why you?
We are looking for some or all of the following experience and core capabilities from our Consultant and Senior Consultant-level candidates:
- Experience in delivering strategic digital-technology advisory engagements
- Experience with the definition, and design of digital-technology operating models, covering some, or all of the core dimensions (i.e. leadership and culture, processes and tooling, organisational structure, accountability and decision-making, performance management, etc.)
- Experience in defining digital-technology transformation roadmaps and business cases
- Broad knowledge of digital technology industry trends, including but not limited to: Agile at Scale, DevSecOps delivery, journey-to-cloud, edge computing, low/no-code solution development, etc.
- Experience in large-scale digital transformation programmes, ideally working in multiple work-streams
- Demonstration of core management consulting skills, including storyboarding, comparative analysis, project and workstream management, written and oral presentation skills and the ability to quickly build productive and trusting relationships
In addition to the capabilities mentioned above, we are looking for an additional set of experiences from candidates seeking to apply to Managing Consultant and Senior Manager level:
- Evidence of having successfully delivered and led advisory engagements, driving positive client outcomes, and developing opportunities for follow-on work
- Evidence of leading successful large-scale, complex digital-technology transformation engagements
- Evidence of specialism in one or more of the following IT functional areas: (i) Agile-at-scale; (ii) DevSecOps delivery, incl. flow optimisation; (iii) Digital-Tech. workforce transformation; (iv) strategic sourcing; (v) Complex service and supplier management; (vi) Cloud service optimisation; (vi) Strategic programme delivery, and (vii) operational performance improvement
- Evidence of managing teams, including multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments
- The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Experience in leading and supporting sales efforts, as well as shaping deal and engagement commercials
- Evidence of achieving sales targets of at least £500k per annum
- Evidence of practice development, team building and developing more junior colleagues
