Why this role?

Whilst the Analytics and AI team works across many industry sectors, we are looking for talented professionals to join our Healthcare Analytics community.

In this role, you will work directly with a broad range of clients across the healthcare and social care sector including researchers, primary and secondary care providers, community services and public health organisations. You will be involved in helping ensure these organisations can develop and deliver critical insights that improve the delivery and performance of healthcare services across the UK.

Within this role you also will have the opportunity to:

  • Enhance and improve the data maturity of clients to enable a data-oriented culture and insight led approach to service delivery
  • Answer critical policy and business judgements through the power of data
  • Leverage statistical modelling techniques and advanced analytics to transform the way healthcare and social care services are delivered in this country
  • Co-create and co-design visual products with stakeholders to convert investigation into insight to be consumed rapidly, addressing data needs of senior stakeholders in the sector and have a direct impact on service delivery
  • Identify areas of overlay and duplicated work from our clients, and work on designing and providing a clear path forward for reinvestment into a sustainable data solution

Why you?

We are looking for curious problem solvers, who have experience in one or more of the following areas

  • Cross-sectoral or healthcare specific experience in areas such as data visualisation, data modelling, from initial reporting requirements and business rules gathering to implementation
  • Experience in workshop design and facilitation
  • Developing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and interactive visual reports using several BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qilk, Looker etc.
  • Experience in querying and manipulating data using analytical languages such as SQL, R or Python
  • Ability to translate complex statistical concepts and machine learning models to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with data handling, e.g., data querying, data manipulation or data wrangling to clean and process to improve to transform raw data into the desired format for analytics and visualisation
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics, including accurate statistical analysis, and the ability to visualise and interpret the results for senior business stakeholders. 
  • Providing expert knowledge of data visualisation or analytics techniques and tooling, and a proven ability to transfer knowledge customers (internal or external)
  • Experience breaking down complex problems with data and delivering an outstanding user experience, leaning on visualisation best practises

    Why you?

    It is desired that you have experience in at least one of the areas:

    • Experience in developing modelling and analytical solutions in a healthcare environment to solve organisational strategic, operational, or financial complications
    • Experience in working with commonly used data sets across the healthcare and social care sectors.
    • Experience in, and understanding of, the governance, management, analysis, collation of data sets in complex healthcare or social care environments
    • Exposure to and understanding of one or more of the following:
      • population health analytics and risk stratification
      • digital healthcare delivery including e-health and Electronic Patient Records
      • healthcare demand and capacity analysis and planning
    • Experience using programming languages such as SQL, Python or R for data analysis
