The Telco team sits within the Telecom, Media, Technology and Services Sector. With the support of our Capgemini Engineering colleagues, we foster synergies between the Digital and Engineering worlds to help Network and Communications companies build intelligent products, operations, and services at scale with digital inside everything, digital continuity throughout lifecycles and digital convergence with its ecosystem(s).

The Work:

The role of Senior Manager is a key role encompassing a practical, hands-on problem solving, solution creation, delivery/management and entrepreneurial business development approach. We are seeking a person who understands both the business of a Telco and the technologies used, across their core infrastructure e.g. Mobile and Fixed services and the supporting Channels and BSS/OSS systems. This role would suit a technically savvy and commercially minded Telco specialist who enjoys developing great client relationships and understands how to meet clients’ needs with great consulting solutions.

This is an exciting chance to drive technology change across the industry through helping client organisations navigate this ever-changing space.
All candidates must be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of Telcos with experience of delivering and selling engagements within the professional services industry. Knowledge areas should include:

Core Requirements
•    All facets of Telco Enterprise architecture, including security, preferably Togaf certified
•    Understanding of TMF Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and eTOM
•    Business Process design, including; Lead to Cash, Order to Cash
•    Solid knowledge of BSS, although OSS experience would be a bonus
•    Sales and Support Channels
Additional Requirements
Experience and expertise in the following areas will also be considered in the selection of the right candidates:
•    Service Management (both IT and Networks)
•    5G Networks
•    IoT (Smart Services)
•    Fixed Networks
•    Methodologies including; SAFe, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
All candidates should be able to demonstrate successful business development skills within the professional services industry selling consulting services, and have led and delivered the following types of assignments:
•    Architecture Assessments (to cover AsIs, Target and Transition Plans)
•    Vendor selection through RFx process
•    Business case & strategy development
•    Shaping and delivering change programmes – where technology, networks and their operation is at the heart of what needs changing

•    Delivering architecture engagements for leading UK Telcos
•    Solution development (problem identification through solution delivery)
•    Support the development of strategic client relationships
•    Lead and deliver projects – managing project teams (2-10 people) being actively involved and taking ownership of delivery
•    Develop commercially viable consulting market offerings
•    Driving Go-To-Market and other specialist teams to develop propositions
•    Work within mixed consulting and client teams, planning, managing and delivering work

Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be customer-focused and be willing to travel on business. In the majority of cases, assignments will be in the UK and Europe and candidates must have exposure to this geographical area.
