An overview of the role:

We are looking for a leader with a strong consulting track record in selling and delivering supply chain and operations transformations for industry leaders.  They will have experience in using technology to find innovative solutions to the issues faced in one or more of Consumer Products, Retail, Manufacturing (including Automotive), Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defence and Energy Utilities industry sectors. In particular they will understand the key supply chain challenges including globalisation, product, process and asset digitisation and supply chain and operations optimisation. They will have the deep experience of the transformation programme lifecycle from strategy through to implementation. They will be able to demonstrate an active and well-informed knowledge of the focus sector/s and have an opinion on key trends having worked in a major consultancy or strategy organisation.


They will be part of the Supply Chain Transformation capability team, which is a core part of our Intelligent Industry capability unit and at the forefront of digitising engineering, manufacturing and supply chains to improve productivity, quality, time-to-market, cost and sustainability.

Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating c .£2m of consulting revenues

Why this role?

  • Business development – using a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network to generate revenue of circa £2million per annum.
  • Engaging with Clients – developing relationships with senior members of the Tier 1 Client organisations.
  • Developing propositions in supply chain strategy, manufacturing digitalisation, consulting and technology and ensuring these are relevant and timely.
  • Acting as an authority and thought leader in supply chain and operations transformation in one or more of our target industries.
  • Contributing to the plan for effective development of Capgemini’s Intelligent Industry - Supply Chain Transformation capability team.
  • Engaging at VP Level with clients and potential clients.
  • Ensuring effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals.
  • Working collaboratively with consultants in Supply Chain teams to ensure success.
  • Contributing to the leadership and growth of the Supply Chain Transformation team and our Intelligent Industry practice.
  • Leading members of the team in delivery to ensure their effective development.

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • A robust knowledge of supply chain key issues and challenges from Strategy, Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, Procurement and Sustainability.
  • Experience of working at a senior level to structure programmes within a major consultancy or strategy organisation.
  • Experience in mentoring high performing teams.
  • A history of rapid career progression with previous employer(s).
  • A demonstrable network, in Tier 1 and key Tier 2 firms.
  • A combination of Supply Chain transformation with technology and more general consulting experience, gained from time spent within these areas.
  • A track record of selling and delivering major supply chain programmes, defined either through their monetary value or the major impact it has had on the client.
  • A history of leading teams and delivering innovative but realistic solutions to client problems.
  • Strong track record of regularly exceeding Professional Services related sales targets.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects to achieve commercial goals.
