Corporate Finance
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven manager to join the Valuations and Modeling team within the Corporate Finance business unit. A financial model is a fundamental element of a corporate finance engagement and members of the modelling team have the opportunity to support all types of transactions we advise on.

The role will involve the following:

  • Leading the development of best in class financial models that will support a range of corporate finance engagements, including corporate finance fundraising, debt financing and refinancing, valuations modelling, project finance, public sector financial appraisals and options appraisals.
  • Leading the review of financial models on large transactions.
  • Leveraging the financial modelling work performed to provide clients with strategic, financial, transactional and commercial advice to enable decision making and utilising our wider digital and analytics capability to present outputs to clients.
  • Manage, coach and develop junior staff and provide training on financial modelling best practice, supported by our global centre of excellence.
  • Leading out on the financial modelling service offering and business development opportunities for PwC Corporate Finance.

Requirements for this role:

  • The successful candidate must have excellent financial modeling skills and be able to utilise these skills in a commercial environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modelling skills are essential. The candidate should be familiar with FAST or equivalent financial modelling standards.
  • Experience with Power BI, Alteryx and other analytics applications is a benefit.
  • Hands-on experience building complex financial models in a projects or transactions environment, including three statement model, DCF, LBO and infrastructure finance modelling.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, economics, engineering or other relevant subjects and have outstanding academic transcripts.
  • Relevant professional experience likely gained in an accounting firm, corporate finance firm, investment bank, project finance team at a bank or corporate development team.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Corporate Finance.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, combined with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and work with teams.
