An overview of the role:


The IT Operating Model Transformation team is part of the growing Business Technology practice. We are looking for talented individuals to join the team to help our clients design, plan and implement leading IT operating models covering leadership and culture, processes, organisation design, governance, strategic sourcing, performance, and tooling. 


Our client work typically involves the following:


•    Understanding our clients’ challenges and ambitions regarding their IT operating model by engaging with their C-suite and leadership team members
•    Driving, supervising and reviewing operating model visioning, diagnosis, and assessment activities
•    Identifying opportunities for improvement based on benchmark data and reference / best-practice operating models
•    Defining the target state IT operating model, together with an actionable transformation roadmap and evidence-based business case
•    Implementing the new operating model, or elements of it (leadership and culture, processes, etc.), in complex and global organisations
•    Coaching and training executives and teams in the new ways of working and practices


Why You?


We are looking for the following experience and core capabilities from our Consultants:


•    Experience in delivering strategic advisory engagements with a focus on developing an IT operating model vision for clients, building the case for change, and applying cost and benefit modelling
•    Experience with defining and designing modern IT operating models and their different dimensions (leadership and culture, processes, organisational, structure, etc.)
•    Experience in defining IT operating model transformation roadmaps 
•    Broad knowledge of technology industry trends impacting modern IT operating models, including but not limited to Agile at Scale, DevOps, Cloud, AI
•    Experience in large-scale operating model transformation delivery – encompassing people (workforce), processes and governance, and tooling (e.g., Enterprise Service Management)
•    Demonstration of core management consulting skills, including storyboarding, comparative analysis, project and workstream management, presentation skills and the ability to quickly build productive and trusting relationships


In addition to the capabilities mentioned above, we are looking for an additional set of experiences from candidates seeking to apply to Managing Consultant and Senior Manager level:

•    Evidence of having successfully delivered and led advisory engagements, driving positive outcomes and developing opportunities to deliver follow-on work 
•    Evidence of leading successful large-scale, complex IT transformation delivery engagements in alignment to a client’s strategic objectives 
•    Evidence of specialism in one or more of the following IT functional areas: (i) IT Service and Integration Management; (ii) Agile at Scale; (iii) Application Development /DevOps; (iv) Programme and Portfolio Management; (v) Strategic Supplier Management; (vi) Cloud Service Management
•    Evidence of managing teams, including multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments 
•    The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
•    Experience in leading and supporting sales efforts, as well as shaping deal and engagement commercials 
•    Evidence of achieving sales targets of at least £500k per annum
•    Evidence of practice development, team building and developing more junior colleagues

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.


We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
