The role would be deployed to client projects across the development lifecycle, which may be at different phases varying from ideation to commercialisation. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you'll work within the Technology & Digital Consulting team and lead a team of problem solvers, leveraging emerging cloud technology and services to solve complex business challenges from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead technical teams participating in multiple concurrent cloud focused projects for our clients

  • Gathering and assessing client requirements, and translating these into solution requirements and design

  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to develop and propose cloud based solutions to existing and potential clients

  • Develop reference architectures and best practice approaches to optimise clients’ cloud adoption, application performance, security, and cost models

  • Manage and grow a collection of new and existing client relationships

  • Provide technical and go to market leadership focused on asset driven cloud based solutions and services, collaborate and lead development focused teams members to bring cloud based solutions to market

  • Recruit and develop a highly capable cloud engineering team, provide coaching and foster an environment where technical professionals can develop their skills and grow their careers; taking on increased responsibility and adding value to the organisation

  • Lead initiatives identified to shape the foundation for the cloud engineering practice, refine resource requirements, project workflow, operating budget requirements

  • Develop new and existing internal and external client relationships leveraging innovative methodologies, practices, tools and assets to address key market trends and challenges

  • Help others think critically and educate non-technical audiences and stakeholders on complex technical solutions both orally and in writing

  • Be a active member in the technology community, provide thought leadership and mentorship, share your knowledge and expertise

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define, develop and implement the strategic direction and focus on emerging enterprise cloud transformation services

  • Continue to advance your skills, knowledge and network related to your field

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications / Your Profile

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, IT or business related discipline

  • At least 5 years experience in the field of cloud computing.

  • Certifications from one or more key cloud providers e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or GCP.

  • Knowledge of high availability architecture and cost optimisation.

  • Experience leading high performing teams in the creation of ‘cloud first’ technology solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate the rationale behind architectural decisions to a broad set of stakeholders.

  • Experience of advising clients on cloud service models post migration/transformation and ongoing application and Infrastructure support and maintenance models.
