We have a strong multi-sector industry focus on Consumer Products & Retail (CPR), as well Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences (MALS). Dependent on your experience we will position you with a primary sector focus. We have a leading position in developing creative value propositions for clients from strategy inception to assisting in execution and benefits delivery.


An overview of the role:

First, and foremost, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative solutions for the largest global CPR and MALS companies. Drawing on your knowledge and experience in supply chain planning you will work collaboratively with Capgemini colleagues and our clients, supporting them to understand challenges and opportunities, design future models to address and realise these, and implement these solutions in their businesses. The solutions typically cover supply chain planning strategy and operating model design (including processes, organisation, capabilities and enabling technology), transition and transformation support to implement the future solution and further optimisation of future model once stabilised.

We are constantly developing our thinking around the changing product supply chain in a digitally-enabled world, and you’ll be part of developing this thinking and making it a reality for our clients across the CPR & MALS sectors. You’ll be a key member of our Supply Chain Centre of Excellence which blends deep industry knowledge with practical consulting expertise.

You will contribute to the effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals, applying appropriate implementation approaches based on delivery concepts, consulting tools and methodologies. You’ll be leading workstreams with responsibility for delivering to plan (scope, quality and time). Working with the team to develop and tailor supply chain planning propositions.

We are rapidly growing our Supply Chain capability in the UK, using our established track record of delivering value for clients globally. As a Consultant/Senior Consultant you will have a key role in delivering our most challenging assignments and in growing our capability.


Why you?

You’ll bring experience of Supply Chain transformation in the CPR and MALS sectors, addressing the issues faced across planning, forecasting and replenishment areas, along with experience of the transformation programme lifecycle from strategy right through to implementation. In addition, you’ll have the following experience and personal attributes:


Deep knowledge of supply chain planning processes from one or more of the following areas:

o    Demand forecasting and planning
o    Supply network planning (production planning and distribution planning)
o    Materials planning 
o    Production scheduling
o    Inventory planning and policy setting
o    Transport planning and scheduling
o    Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
•    Ideally you will have worked for a Retailer, Consumer Products, Manufacturing or Automotive company or similar product-based industry (e.g. Life Sciences) as a Demand Planner, Merchandiser or Supply Chain Planner
•    Or: You will have worked as a consultant advising clients on how to improve their forecasting, demand planning, supply planning or S&OP process
•    You will have a history of shaping and leading delivery of supply chain projects, as well as delivering creative but realistic solutions to client problems.
•    You’ll be able to demonstrate an active, well informed knowledge of the Consumer Product, Retail, Manufacturing or Automotive sectors and have an opinion on key trends, as well as a history of rapid career progression.
•    You’ll have knowledge of how technology can be applied to deliver business value in the supply chain, and the technology development lifecycle from design through to implementation with supporting change management.
•    You’ll be experienced in consultancy methods and approaches, learned through either working for a consulting organisation or via project implementation with a Retailer, global CP organisation, Manufacturing, Automotive or Life Sciences indsutry.

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
