Job Description & Summary

Our Financial Services (‘FS’) Consulting team is a team of ~90 professionals with a variety of backgrounds and experience across the asset & wealth management (AWM), banking and insurance sectors. Our team has a range of skills, spanning strategic, operational and specialist regulatory experience to solve complex problems for our clients, many of whom are global financial institutions. This team is part of the wider Consulting team of over 420 people, who work in PwC Ireland’s Advisory Line of Service.
As part of the FS Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to work with like-minded, high-performing individuals as well as collaborating with colleagues from the wider Consulting team and global PwC network. Our multi-disciplinary teams are structured to best meet our clients’ requirements, with appropriate skills, expertise and levels ranging from in-depth technical knowledge through to hands-on practical experience.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an inner drive to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, will collaborate effectively within our team and use their experience and skills to provide best-in-class services to our clients. Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Financial Services (FS) Advisory team.  The role will be based in PwC’s recently refurbished offices in Spencer Dock, Dublin 1. Due to the nature of client service, travel (including international) may be required.

Essential skills required

  • Deep understanding of the asset management industry including trends, regulatory developments and key current issues facing clients and proven ability to articulate these in discussions / presentations with senior internal and external stakeholders

  • Technical knowledge of back-office operations, e.g. FA, TA, MO etc. Related systems knowledge a bonus

  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Client focused and commercially astute

  • Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences

  • Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve project and career objectives

  • Experience in managing teams of resources on multiple assignments running simultaneously

  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills

  • A positive and ambitious mindset

Essential experience required  

  • 8+ years total experience – including experience in the broader AWM industry (e.g., fund admin, Manco, asset manager etc.) and/or consulting experience from a professional service, advisory or internal consulting environment

  • Business skills - understanding our client's business and showing strong commercial acumen in the seeking out of opportunities and the winning of work.

  • Experience in the operations of fund admins/Mancos/managers, experience of dealing with clients and running projects

  • Exposure to different asset classes, e.g., traditional funds, hedge, PE etc.

  • Leading projects to deliver results for clients within agreed deadlines and budgets

Other experience - desirable  

  • A relevant primary or advanced degree e.g., finance, business or equivalent such as MBA

  • Industry recognised qualifications, e.g., in project management, CAIA, IOB funds courses.
