The Role

Hybrid Intelligence, a Capgemini Engineering team, is looking for an experienced presales architect with a track record in engaging with clients to understand their business, shape winning proposals and delivering solutions for high-value technical consultancy and analytics solutions. We can offer an exciting and rewarding career where you can make a significant impact by demonstrating our expertise in R&D and lowering the barriers to innovation for our clients.

You will shape and drive projects through the full project lifecycle, with a particular focus on the pre-sales stage, fulfilling our clients’ needs and exceeding their expectations. Depending on the project, your activities will include business analysis, requirements capture, solution design, proposal writing, etc.

  • Analyse, architect and estimate solutions to Hybrid Intelligence opportunities, mainly focused on those where we are part of a large bid alongside the wider Capgemini organisation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and guide customers towards solutions that have the greatest likelihood of long-term success.
  • Work closely with bid managers, sales, project managers, technical experts, and subject matter experts to develop winning bid strategies.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex technical systems and processes, with the ability to work with senior technical staff to help analyse and architect the technical solutions.

Our projects tend to involve complex, consultative sales, so you will need to be comfortable talking to both clients and internal technical teams and use strong influencing skills to ensure we shape the right solutions for our clients. You must be comfortable traveling to meet with prospects and customers in the UK and abroad as required.

  • Minimum degree-level educated in a STEM discipline.
  • A proven track record in delivering pre-sales activities for data science and/or software development projects. This could be from a technical project management, solution architect, or dedicated pre-sales position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working language will be English, though fluency in other languages can be beneficial.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders from across the business, including both technical experts and business leaders, to co-develop client proposals.
  • Knowledge of the key concepts of a broad range of technologies, data science techniques and software development, including how these can be used to solve real research and industry challenges.
  • The ability to drive technology-intensive conversations with clients and colleagues at all levels and act as a bridge to explain and make technology relevant to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in understanding user needs through workshops, interviews, requirements analysis & process mapping and using this to shape tailored solutions, business cases and roadmaps.
  • Experience of hands-on data science, analytics or software development.
