To add to our senior team, we are delighted to offer an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Director. The role would suit an energetic and strategic thinker with clear vision and solid networking and communication skills. This a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected company, at senior level within the asset maintenance consultancy arena.

You will work as a trusted and integral member of the team, reporting directly to our CEO and working closely with our marketing department.

Business Development Director Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with customers, partners and associate consultants.
  • Expand the profile and reach of the company.
  • Conduct webinars, presentations and roadshows (face to face and online), attend trade exhibitions to raise the company’s profile.
  • Lead sales, customer-service and other client relationship management teams.
  • Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will result in increased lead generation and market share.
  • Research and identify suitable new markets and services
  • Evaluate, propose and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Help to shape the company’s long-term objectives and determine plans for how to meet them.
  • Fulfil requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential customers.
  • Travel to client locations home and abroad, as necessary.

Our fast-paced, supportive and friendly environment will offer you a range of benefits, including a competitive salary between £68,000 and £75,000 dependent on experience, plus a performance related bonus, flexible working arrangements and opportunities for training and development. In addition, a generous car allowance is payable.

  • Knowledge of our maintenance and facilities management industry’s services.

  • Experience of delivering complex cross functional business projects to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to communicate accessibly and concisely about our services to prospective customers and clients, partners, associates and media.
  • General financial, business and commercial acumen.

  • Experience of travel in UK and overseas

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • Qualification in engineering/asset maintenance/facilities management 
  • Knowledge of maintenance asset management and services
  • 5-10 years’ experience of selling consultancy services
  • 5-10 years of delivering consultancy projects
