This is a senior and high-profile role that requires a combination of consulting, management, architecture, and implementation skills. You will be working on a variety of client engagements covering areas of data management such as data integration, data transformation, master data management, data cataloguing, data quality management, and data stewardship for both operational and analytical use cases.

Experience

  • Strong technical leadership.
  • Technical project management skills.
  • Architecture and design experience, ideally related to data management.
  • Good understanding of different data repository technologies such a RDBMS, no-SQL, distributed file systems, in-memory etc.
  • Experience working in a client-facing/consulting environment.
  • Experience of building CI/CD pipelines that integrate with data management tools (or similar) export and import capabilities.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering world-beating data consulting services to Valcon’s clients.
  • Technical Leadership of data management client engagements.
  • Management of multi-disciplinary data teams.
  • Liaising with client Business and Technical Stakeholders to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted and effectively implemented.
  • Architecting Data Management Solutions using a combination of data management tools and data integration technologies.
  • Working with business stakeholders to establish data governance best practice.

Desired experience

  • Knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architecture and technologies.
  • Knowledge of ETL\ELT (Data Engineering) technologies and solutions.
  • Knowledge of Azure, AWS and GCP Cloud data services.
