About Smart Factory / Digital Manufacturing
To support the continued growth of our practice, we are looking for individuals at Senior Associate and Manager level, to join our Operations Effectiveness team to take a prominent role in our Smart Factory work and also support other propositions with the OE team including;
Business Transformation
Customer Consulting
Project & Programme Management
Operational Excellence - including Lean and Six Sigma
Supply Chain & Procurement Transformation
The role will involve supporting delivery and business development of Smart Factory work including the delivery of several PwC methodologies and frameworks. We will deploy a range of digital accelerators and assets developed in-house including Digital operations Maturity Assessment (DOMA) and Factory Intelligence - PwC’s Smart Factory platform.
You’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, working with senior client stakeholders to solve their complex business issues from ‘strategy through to execution’. This role will be mainly client-based, may involve international travel and will be focused on leading / supporting complex transformational programmes. Key facets of this role will include:
Working closely with staff and Partners to deliver Operational Transformation change projects across our national and international client base
Liaising with other Consulting teams (Strategy, Finance, Technology, Digital, Change, Data & Analytics) to deliver end to end integrated solutions to our clients
Maintaining a consistently high and leading edge market profile
Contributing to the overall development of our practice, researching and developing new service offerings and producing thought leadership and market insights for our clients
About the Operations Consulting team
How we have helped our clients:
Provided digital maturity assessments for a range of manufacturing facilities in Ireland
Delivered Smart Factory Transformation programmes with leading multinational clients in the PwC network internationally, including the deployment of Factory Intelligence
We carried out a site performance check for a global pharma manufacturer that included a cost benchmarking exercise.
We coordinated the HSE’s supply chain operations in support of the COVID19 vaccine rollout
We programme managed the European operations integration of two market leading consumer brands
We reconfigured the sales & manufacturing planning operations for an Irish Pharmaceutical company
We developed the procurement synergy plans in support of a global merger in the entertainment industry

This role can be based out of our offices in either Dublin or Cork with the option to avail of flexible hybrid working arrangements. In addition, there will also be an opportunity for international travel for global projects.
Preferred skills
Experience of working with companies and / or in consulting roles in one of the competencies outlined above i.e. Digital Manufacturing Consulting, supply chain and operations Transformation
Additional desirable skills include Project Management, Customer, procurement and Operational Excellence.
Supporting projects to deliver results within agreed deadlines and budgets
Supporting the delivery of formal and informal reports and presentations
Contributing to the preparation and presentation of compelling proposals for new projects or client work
Desirable education and approach
Education to degree level;
Additional qualifications such as MBA/ Masters/ ACA/ CIMA are highly valued but not essential;
Confident approach, self motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);
A flexible and team focused working style within a multi-functional team.
