Purpose-led work you’ll be part of

As part of the Operations Excellence team you will have the opportunity to work with like-minded, successful  individuals supporting our clients to achieve operational excellence in an ever changing, exciting operational landscape.

You will be part of a team who use a range of business solutions (e.g. process intelligence, intelligent automation) to generate insights and solve client problems by connecting people, processes, and technology. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion and dedication to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, will collaborate within our team and use their operational experience and skills to provide an exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scope and deliver operational excellence projects within agreed deadlines and budgets

  • Deliver projects that support strategy achievement by designing new business models; streamlining processes and implementing sustainable business changes

  • Facilitate engagements with clients using digital process tools on opportunities to release capacity, increase operational efficiency, remove waste and errors in operational functions

  • Use recognised business / process modelling tools (e.g. BPMN / UML), methodologies (e.g. Lean) and digital accelerators to support project delivery

  • Oversee and deliver formal and informal reports and presentations

  • Collaborate with PwC teams (in Ireland and internationally) to understand industry and operational excellence developments and identify new client opportunities

  • Lead, prepare and present compelling proposals for new client work

  • Contribute operational experience knowledge to develop operational excellence solutions that PwC can bring to our clients

  • Coach and mentor client and PwC team members on operational excellence methodologies and practices

  • Understand the role of technology and automation in the context of our Clients’ business models and identify opportunities for PwC to invest in innovative technology enablers/platforms/partnerships

Experiences and skills

  • 10+ years’ experience – either in industry or Consulting / professional services

  • Experience of leading operational excellence projects

  • Experience of operational excellence methodologies and or digital enablers and solutions (e.g. Celonis, ActiveOpsTM, Digital Twin, RPA)

  • A relevant primary or advanced degree e.g. business, management, MBA or equivalent

  • A relevant operational excellence qualification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Certification)

  • A people leader with experience developing teams

  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences
