Accenture’s UK Capital Markets business has identified Middle and Back Office Transformation as a key priority offering in 2022, in recognition of the growing client demand and market focus on the use of data to realise operational efficiencies, increase control and strengthen communication with the business and clients.
Regulation has given customers more transparency of pricing, and flexibility to pick and choose. To stay ahead, banks need the ability to strengthen client relationships and leverage scale, but also to move quickly to exploit new products, markets and client segments as opportunities arise. Operations must develop the strength and agility to facilitate these business strategies whilst maintaining the ability to meet multi-jurisdictional regulatory obligations
We support investment banking operations & technology teams in developing the scalability and agility to facilitate these business strategies alongside compliance with regulatory obligations. This is achieved with a data-centric workforce and technology transformation. In this role you will:
- Deliver client change and transformation through implementation of Regulatory Trade & Transaction reporting engagements
- Build trusted relationships with client and Accenture teams in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Support building out Accenture’s Middle and Back Office Transformation thought leadership and practice
- Lead teams and support development of Accenture’s Capital Markets practice through people development and mentoring of more junior team members
- Develop and identify sales opportunities that are aligned with client agendas, creating value-driven sales propositions
We are looking for experience in the following:
- Strong project management inclusive of Agile delivery methodologies
- Business, technical analysis
- Data governance, analysis and transformation
- Designing data led solutions
- Process and target operating design, process mining and mapping
- Experience of building relationships at all levels in an organization, including with Executives/Senior Executives
Set yourself apart:
- Ability to successfully build relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Mastery of problem solving and solutioning
- Strong Academic Background, to Bachelors’ degree level or higher, or equivalent experience
- A good, broad understanding of how Banks and Capital Markets institutions operate including products, industry participants, value chains, business models and operating models.
- Awareness of the key industry challenges & trends, including emerging technology and upcoming regulatory changes.
- Experience in the Investment Banking industry, including an understanding of Front, Middle and Back-office processes and a high-level understanding of the trade lifecycle
- Experience in delivering regulatory change particularly Trade and/or Transaction Reporting across; Dodd Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, SEC, CAT, MAS, HKMA, CFTC and/or FinFRAG
- Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of Regulatory Trade and Transaction Reporting, with an ability to articulate key industry challenges
- Awareness of Regulatory Reporting eco-system participants inclusive of FinTech / RegTechs that are providing innovative, forward-thinking solutions to address this space
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment with excellent client relationship/interpersonal skill, strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong professional presence. This should include excellent written (structured documents, presentations) and verbal communication skills (facilitation of meetings, presentation of materials)
- Well-developed analytical skills including ability to work with poorly defined problems, provide clarity to complex issues or situations and synthesise large amounts of information and highlight salient points
