Procura is seeking our latest Graduate Programme intake. We are a management consultancy firm based in London. The role involves providing analytical support in achieving procurement excellence for our clients which includes cost optimisation, transformation, digitalisation, and sustainable procurement projects. This a structured 18-month graduate scheme, with candidates progressing from a Data Analyst I to a Data Analyst II at the end of the scheme. Procura Consulting is a boutique management consultancy firm specialising in delivering procurement excellence projects for our clients. Our firm works closely with all kinds of organisations to improve their procurement objectives ranging from increasing profitability by identifying and delivering value from their external expenditure to transforming their current procurement function to a high-performance organisation.

As a key member of the Data Analytics Team, the Data Analyst I will work with a variety of data sets to both respond to and deliver requests for insights and analysis. As well, you will work with and interpret the data sets to proactively design and deliver analytical output in our ProIntell Platform that drives business performance for colleagues and clients.

The Data Analytics Team will work to develop data driven insights and reporting and dashboarding solutions for consultants and clients. The Data Analyst I is also responsible for development and management of the internal database and ad-hoc data requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Spend Analysis
  • Data cleansing, aggregation, and manipulation using Excel, SQL, Python, or R
  • Categorisation and standardisation of data • Visualisation of data in Power BI and Tableau for client-facing dashboards
  • Development and management of our internal database
  • Accurate and timely processing of data to develop ProIntell dashboards
  • Supporting internal projects and ad-hoc requests

Training and Development Opportunities:

You will work as part of a team of experienced analysts and management consultants working for multiple clients across multiple projects. You will have a high level of exposure to data analytics and project management. You will rapidly develop your analytical mindset, professional delivery, communication, and technical skills.

Formal training opportunities during the first 6 month of the graduate scheme will include:

  • Procurement fundamentals training
  • Accounting data training
  • MS Excel and Power BI training
  • SQL/Database, Python, or R training (Depending on your prior knowledge and skills)

Following the first 6 months graduate scheme, you will have the opportunity to develop your analytics skills:

  • Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate
  • Python or R Programming courses
  • Modelling, Forecasting, Statistics, or Data Science courses

Level of Support: Day-to-day an experienced Data Analyst will provide one-to-one mentoring while you work together on your initial projects. Though you will be fully supported, you will be expected to show an ability to work independently and proactively, whilst demonstrating a willingness to draw upon the project teams’ experience to supplement your own learning.

Who you are:

  • Have an academic background in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or similar
  • You have strong problem-solving skills, along with an analytical approach and an appreciation of analysis techniques • Clear understanding of technical issues
  • Display proven analytical and quantitative skills in Excel, SQL, Python, or R
  • Experience with BI Tools, preferably Power BI or Tableau
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with others • Very good communication skills, ability to define your scope of work and deliver results to a non-technical audience
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Copes well with pressure and challenges
  • Excellent English, written and spoken, with other languages being an advantage

Desirable Experience:

  • Understanding of database concepts and structures
  • Advanced coding experience in R or Python
  • Modelling and forecasting
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Accounting, Procurement, or Supply Chain knowledge or experience
  • Experience or knowledge of ERP systems

Other Requirements:

  • Able to start work in October or November 2021
