About the Supply Chain Team

Our Supply Chain team is focused on working in partnership with clients to deliver sustainable business transformation. We work with our clients to transform their supply chains, develop new ways of working; from end to end supply chain strategies to optimisation of discrete areas of the value chain. 

The Supply Chain team sits within the Operational Effectiveness Consulting team. We also work closely with Consultants across our Global Supply Chain network.

You will be part of a highly skilled, specialist team within consulting. At the same time, you will be encouraged to initiate and develop new ideas to take to our clients. Our highly motivated team has an excellent track record of delivering high quality work to major Irish and international clients and has ambitious growth plans for the next few years.

This role will be mainly client-based, may involve international travel and will be focused on leading / supporting complex Supply Chain transformational programmes. Key facets of this role will include:

  • Working closely with staff and Partners to deliver Supply Chain Transformation projects across our client base 

  • Liaising with other Consulting teams e.g. Strategy, Finance, Technology, Digital, Change, Data & Analytics etc. to deliver end to end integrated solutions to our clients

  • Building relationships with our key Consulting clients at C-suite level 

  • Supporting, coaching and developing our junior Consultants

  • Maintaining a consistently high and leading edge market profile

  • Playing an active role in our Business Development activities e.g. developing client propositions, identifying new opportunities, organising client events, presenting at relevant industry seminars etc.

  • Contributing to the overall development of our practice, researching and developing new service offerings and producing thought leadership and market insights for our clients

The type of assignments our supply chain team has recently worked on, include:

  • Designed and implemented the operational integration of two multinational FMCG companies, across 50+ European markets

  • We coordinated the HSE’s supply chain operations in support of the COVID19 vaccine rollout

  • Developed an implementation plan for the integration of two national distribution companies

  • Implemented a cost reduction programme focussed on supply chain operations for a semi-state company

  • Supported a global plastics company in identifying integration synergies and operational improvements following a series of acquisitions

  • Supported a leading on-line Global Retailer in procuring a new line of Robots for its customer fulfillment centers

  • Completed a procurement synergy savings assessment for two global media companies that have recently merged. This included developing a new Procurement Op Model for the merged entity

This role can be based out of our offices in either Dublin or Cork with the option to avail of flexible hybrid working arrangements. In addition, there will also be an opportunity for international travel for global projects. 

What We Expect From You
 
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in some or all of the following areas of supply chain management:

  • Experience of supply chain management such as logistics / network optimisation, demand / supply planning, manufacturing, procurement outsourcing – 3PLs/4PLs, CMO etc.

  • Digital supply chain / Industry 4.0

  • Experience of managing supply chain transformation

  • Exposure to different technology solutions used in supply chain

  • Project management experience

  • Strong data analytics skills using Alteryx (or equivalent), Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills

  • Experience of managing others

 
Essential skills required

  • 4+ years total experience – working in large scale Supply Chain operations and / or in consulting roles

  • Experience of leading projects to deliver results for clients within agreed deadlines and budgets

  • Client focussed and commercially astute

  • Excellent understanding of leading business practices and trends

  • Strong business analysis and problem solving skills, and excellent attention to detail

  • Adaptable and with an innovative approach to work

  • Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences

  • Educated to degree level

 
 
Other experience – desirable 

  • Supply chain experience from the pharmaceuticals, FMCG, manufacturing, public or healthcare sectors

  • A relevant primary or advanced degree e.g. supply chain, management, MBA or equivalent
