Accenture Risk is at the forefront of this, using cutting edge technologies and advanced analytics to advise clients on all aspects of risk from credit risk, to financial crime risk, to Climate Risk.
The UKI Risk practice sits within Accenture’s market leading strategy and consulting business. Its mission is to keep clients safe, compliant and informed of the existing and emerging risks they face in the delivery of their products and services. The focus is predominantly though not exclusively on financial services as this has both a dynamic and critically important risk profile having been the subject of wholesale regulatory change in response to both the financial crisis and the increasing digitisation of the industry.
A core aspect of the work we do with our clients is to manage change across the front-line business areas, the risk function itself and also with compliance, operations and technology. Our change teams understand how new regulations will impact each of these areas and where operating and delivery methods will enable more efficient risk management. You will quickly get to understand the skills needed to bring together multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups to ensure that an overall solution is delivered that ultimately will make our clients more successful.

In our team you will learn:

In this role you will:
- Have the opportunity to work for leading global and UK clients on their greatest challenges
- Advise clients in Capital Markets, Asset and Wealth Management, Banking or other industries on future risk or compliance operating models and frameworks
- Diagnose and solve complex business challenges and opportunities and set strategies based on them
- Work within a high performing Accenture change team to deliver business critical engagements that improve our client’s risk management or compliance capabilities
- Work in partnership with colleagues with industry, risk, data, analytics, and technology experience on market defining projects
- Become familiar with both traditional and agile delivery methods and how best to apply these within the risk function
- Drive and enable the development of sales proposals and offerings
- Deliver points of views on industry trends and take them to clients
- Contribute risk or compliance SME knowledge to a wide range of Accenture and client stakeholders
- Contribute to the Risk practice community and build a network across Accenture and our clients
- Work alongside our global clients, with opportunities to travel
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
- Project delivery experience
- Best practice change delivery in either traditional or agile methods (gained in industry or consulting)
- An understanding of the role of the risk or compliance function within Industry and how this relates to the business and other teams. (Industry could be financial services or another industry with a strong risk management culture.)
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management or compliance operating models and frameworks
- An appetite to learn more about the operation of the risk function and to influence its future direction
- An understanding of the role of the regulator in the industry and of the purpose of the regulation that has been introduced
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence and present complex problems and solutions to senior stakeholders
- Flexible and innovative problem solver
- Strong MS office skills specifically in PowerPoint and Excel
- The ability to work effectively within a team setting to tight and agile deadlines
- Commercial awareness to support commercial engagements and spot market opportunities
- Talent for building and sustaining meaningful relationships, with external and internal stakeholders
- Understanding of how data and analytics can be leveraged to develop risk management approaches
- Understanding of business and technology and the value of bringing them together
Set yourself apart:
- Knowledge of Enterprise Risk, Non-financial Risk, Financial Risk, Treasury, or Compliance
- Knowledge of risk reporting or analytics
- Knowledge of Risk technologies and/or RegTech
- Knowledge of risk functions and/or regulation in Capital Markets, Asset and Wealth Management, or Banking
- Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain client relationships
- Track record of successful delivery in the risk or compliance domain
- Ability to articulate complex client challenges clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of emerging cloud-based technology platforms – such as GCP, AWS, Azure and IBM Cloud
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Experience of both traditional and agile delivery methods and working across the boundary
- Ambition to develop yourself as a risk and/or regulatory change professional and influence the solutions Accenture brings to its clients
