
(Senior) Associate, FS Digital Performance Improvement

The Purpose of the role:
An opportunity exists for a Digital Financial Services professional based in our London office.
Familiar with the challenges that the Financial Services sector faces in today’s challenging market conditions, the successful hire will be experienced in delivering digital solutions that address businesses critical issues. They will help shape and drive end to end digital change across financial services organisations and create and maximise value.
The successful appointee will work with our existing team and help build the profile and reputation of the firm in the digital transformation space with a route to market directly into Financial Services across the EMEA region. Building on the success of the A&M brand, the successful candidate will bring experience from advisory roles with an established advisory firm in the Financial Services sector.
The preferred candidate will support business development through opportunity spotting and materials development, but they will not be expected to originate work themselves. They will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution focused consultant determined to make a difference and not be afraid to challenge the status-quo.
Depending on business needs and your career experience, you could work exclusively with FS digital, or mix your digital focus with broader consulting work e.g. performance improvement, regulatory advice. We will discuss this with you during the interview process.
Key responsibilities:
Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Working on the delivery of our digital transformation work, leading or supporting specific work packages as required.
- Activities such as collecting and analysing information, formulating and testing hypothesis, and developing and communicating recommendations.
- Supporting the presentation of results to clients and helping shape the implementation of recommendations with them.
- Supporting the development and delivery of the FS digital strategy; helping deepen client relationships through the quality of your work and engagement
- Help the broader EMEA FS and digital teams through supporting firm building activity such as intellectual capital development or practice administration,
Requirements for this position:
The preferred candidate for this appointment will be analytical, self-starting, execution focused, and – above all – be passionate about digital and financial services. They will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high performing team. They will bring a successful track record of participating in digital projects and have hands-on experience of digital change.
Specifically, the successful candidate will have:
- A successful track record in digital financial services, preferably banking, within a well-established consulting outfit – from a top tier strategy firm, a leading specialist and/or niche advisory firm or ‘Big 4’ consultancy
- Hands-on experience in digital financial services, bringing knowledge in all or some of the following: strategy, operating model, RPA/AI, and end to end journey redesign
- An analytical mindset and approach that can break down problems to their root cause and create highly logical solutions.
- Practical experience and an appropriate functional knowledge of the digital and technology deployed in the FS digital spectrum
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing. Experience of supporting end-of-project reports and client-ready materials is essential.
- An undergraduate degree with an outstanding record of academic achievement
Desirable but not essential:
- Career experience in the financial services industry outside of consulting
- Additional European language skills such as French or Spanish
