About the Role:

FTI Consulting, Inc.'s Risk and Compliance Department is seeking a Global Privacy Director to oversee the Company's compliance with privacy laws in the markets in which we operate. This position is located in London and will report to the Company's Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in Washington, D.C.

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for providing strategic leadership on privacy law compliance and maintaining and continually improving a robust global program. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Continually develop, enhance and lead FTI's global privacy compliance program

• Horizon scan and monitor the entry into force of new relevant privacy laws. Once identified, ensure proper controls implementation.

• Engage with data protection authorities and policymakers to maintain sustainable, scalable, and global approaches to sophisticated data privacy protection needs

• Serve as the Data Protection Officer for our EMEA region and beyond

• Collaborate with partners in legal, compliance, IT, and business teams to proactively address risks, recommend solutions, and ensure compliance with regulations unique to our business segments.

• Coordinate with global leadership to identify and minimize data privacy and cybersecurity risks and drive the implementation of initiatives across the company

• Participate as a leading member of FTI's incident response team including development of appropriate breach management policies, controls, training programs and testing

• Work with IT and other departments to enhance the related aspects of the cybersecurity program

• Work with client-facing professionals to ensure that FTI's privacy policies and procedures are in line with client requirements

• Ensure appropriate levels of data privacy awareness and accountability across the organization

Requirements:

10 years of professional experience including 5 years of experience leading or serving in a senior role within a Privacy compliance function (although we will consider a candidate outside of this who can demonstrate that they have the experience required for the role). You will also have to have:

• Prior experience working in a privacy compliance function in a professional services environment preferred

• Knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations (GDPR, CPRA, POPIA, etc.)

• Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills

• Must be a solutions-driven, highly motivated and organized team player with impeccable integrity

• A degree in law is a plus
