Our European Valuation & Modelling business is dynamic and fast growing. Over the last 7 years we have established teams across the USA and in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Munich and Paris. We are unrestricted by any conflict with audit mandates and the resulting issues caused that are typical in many of our competitors. We are also able to operate cross-border seamlessly.

We provide a full suite of valuation and modelling services in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring, Private Equity portfolios, Contentious Valuations,  Complex Financial Instruments, Illiquid Securities and Financial and Tax reporting.  All of our teams are expanding, and we have established A&M as one of the leading providers of Business Modelling services globally.

Due to increasing demand, a senior opportunity exists in our established London team and we are looking for highly regarded & experienced Business Modelling professional to join us as a Director. As a member of the senior team, the successful appointee will play a key part in client project delivery, business development and team building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Business Modelling team, including recruiting, training and coaching team members
  • Work closely with Managing Directors on business development activities including proposals, pitches, networking and organising client meetings and events
  • Client project delivery, through the delivery and testing of complex bespoke financial models
  • Lead, prepare and support client workshops, meetings and calls to assist in scoping and designing models
  • Support project teams in other service lines as and when required, through the application of financial modelling (and occasionally analytics and other related) techniques to generate insights and assist clients to shape their decision making
  • Support the development of new capabilities and promote collective skill set development across the team through the development of templates, training courses and exercises

Assignments can include EPMs for Insolvency & Restructuring cases, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business planning models, project finance and other financial models. Clients include Infrastructure & private equity funds and large corporates.
 

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Senior level experience in a Financial / Business modelling role in a leading accounting or consulting firm
  • A relevant professional qualification such as ACA or CFA
  • Knowledge of UK and other jurisdictions’ insolvency principles and associated modelling techniques (e.g. EPM)
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills including managing key client relationships and expectations
  • Experience providing modelling expertise across a variety of sectors
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills are advantageous
  • Ambitious, with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
