An overview of the role:

We are looking for a leader with a strong consulting track record in selling and delivering procurement transformations for industry leaders . You will have experience in the issues faced in one or more of: Consumer Products, Manufacturing (including Automotive), Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defence, Energy Utilities or Financial Services.

You will understand the key procurement challenges faced by our clients including the impact of globalisation, digital and sustainability; deep experience of the transformation programme lifecycle from strategy through to implementation and able to demonstrate an active and well-informed knowledge of the focus sector/s whilst having an opinion on key trends having worked in a major consultancy or strategy organisation.

You will have experience of building a procurement consulting team as you will lead and grow the new Intelligent Procurement capability team. You will also be part of the Intelligent Industry leadership team, which is our capability unit at the forefront of digitising operations, manufacturing and supply chains to improve productivity, quality, time to market, cost and sustainability.

  • Business development – using a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network to generate revenue of circa £2million per annum.
  • Engaging with Clients – developing relationships with senior members of the Tier 1 Client organisations .
  • Developing propositions in procurement strategy, consulting and technology and ensuring these are relevant and timely.
  • Acting as an authority and thought leader in procurement transformation in one or more of our target industries.
  • Developing and leading the plan to build and grow the Intelligent Procurement capability team
  • Engaging at senior level with clients and potential clients.
  • Ensuring effective delivery and timely completion of projects in alignment with commercial goals.
  • Contributing to the leadership and growth of Intelligent Industry practice.
  • Leading members of the team in delivery to ensure their effective development.

Why you?

  • A robust knowledge of procurement key issues and challenges
  • Experience of working at a senior level to structure programmes within a major consultancy or strategy organisation.
  • Deep experience of the transformation programme lifecycle from strategy through to implementation
  • A demonstrable network, in Tier 1 and key Tier 2 firms.
  • A combination of Supply Chain transformation with technology and more general consulting experience, gained from time spent within these areas.
  • A track record of selling and delivering major procurement programmes, defined either through their monetary value or the major impact it has had on the client.
  • A history of building and leading teams and delivering innovative but realistic solutions to client problems.
  • Strong track record of regularly exceeding Professional Services related sales targets.

We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
