The regulatory changes impacting audit practices in the U.K. and Europe have had a significant impact on the Restructuring practices of the Big 4 accounting firms leading to divestures and change previously unthinkable. There is a huge opportunity for growth and A&M has expanded its Restructuring practice significantly in the UK and across Europe since 2017.
A&M’s established European Financial Restructuring practice enables lenders and corporates to clearly evaluate the risks and opportunities of their situation and their restructuring options. Due to continued growth we are recruiting newly qualified Auditors to join our team at Associate level.
The successful candidate will work on multi-stakeholder, multi-national restructuring advisory engagements delivering a blend of review and stakeholder advisory work to distressed businesses.
Main responsibilities:
- Work with Managing Directors and Senior Directors to deliver client projects through the management of multiple work streams
- Contribute to the assessment of company performance
- Review short-term cash flow projections and analyse cash conservation efforts and controls
- Evaluation business plans and financial projections, including assessments of risks and opportunities
- Assess strategic and restructuring alternatives available and analysis of possible outcomes
- Contribute to performance monitoring following business plan implementation
- Continuously keeping abreast of industry developments and regulation
The person
- Strong academic track record and professional progression including an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Ability to demonstrate experience delivering complex projects at a Big 4 or a leading Advisory firm
- Demonstrated expertise and aptitude with conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, particularly with constructing integrated financial models and analysing financial underperformance
- Ability to maintain relationships with key executives and a network of professional organisations or affiliations
