Since inception in February 2019, the Financial Investors team at A&M has enjoyed exponential growth. Our team has grown to over 30 professionals across London, Manchester and Glasgow in a very short space of time and under very challenging circumstances. The team has developed into a close knit and supportive group who are committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Our Financial Investors team has a diverse and thriving portfolio of notable infrastructure fund and private equity clients based in London, the regions and overseas who expect a tailored and focused approach to tax advice. We help and support our clients by identifying their key tax concerns and advising on strategies to address those concerns.  We help clients with a wide range of issues, from advising on the establishment of new funds and subsequent transactions undertaken as well as other ancillary services such as providing tax compliance services throughout the life of the fund.

As a result of this breadth, along with A&M’s growth, we are looking to continue to provide a full service offering to portfolio companies which will include compliance, tax reporting and advisory work.  The ideal Director level candidate will help develop and implement this end to end service offering working closely with the deal team, compliance team and advisory.  Stakeholder management will be an important part of the role and will allow for a better understanding of opportunities on the deal side where compliance work can follow through.


  • Build and develop a compliance service offering to access follow on work from portfolio companies, working closely together with our compliance team members

  • Provide clients with advice on a wide range of UK and International corporate tax issues

  • Identify opportunities for additional work with existing clients, portfolio companies as well as new clients

  • Lead or manage business development initiatives

  • Managing, mentoring and assisting with training and upskilling junior team members

  • Liaising with Taxand (A&M’s global tax network) across the globe and coordinating international tax advice on client issues


  • ACA or CTA qualified

  • Strong UK corporate tax experience

  • Experience in compliance and tax reporting under IRFS
