At Accenture, the Industry X Engineering and R&D Digitization team is focused on transforming Engineering and R&D functions to enable sustainable innovation, increased development performance, and reduced cost. 

We digitize, optimize and transform our clients’ traditional Engineering and R&D processes and tools. We combine our deep knowledge of engineering process excellence with empowering tools that infuse AI, machine learning, AR/VR, and security to greatly increase returns on R&D investment.

In this role you will: 

  • Help clients target and deliver value through the digital transformation of their core Engineering and R&D operations.  

  • Lead and define opportunities that create tangible value – including leading current state assessments, identifying opportunities to increase Engineering and R&D efficiency, and developing solutions, business case and journey plan to achieve the right value led outcomes for the client. 

  • Design future ways of working – operating models, business functions and processes, and technology, whilst working closely with business and technology strategists, process owners and subject matter experts. 

  • Leverage digital technologies to enable clients’ future-state business capabilities and drive targeted business outcomes. 

  • Develop enduring, trust-based relationships with people at all career levels, both professionally and personally, internally and externally. 

  • Provide points of view on key industry challenges and trends and present an impetus for change in industry context.  

  • Create thought leadership, points of view and white papers on key Engineering and R&D trends. 

  • Support the development and refinement of offerings and collateral to support/promote sales and origination (overviews, case studies, account planning, marketing information). 

  • Support the sales process from origination to successful closing (including offering fine tuning, solution shaping, proposal preparation, client presentations). 

  • Lead client innovation workshops and use a human-centered approach to solve problems, frame opportunities and achieve innovation through collaboration and co-creation. 

We are looking for experience in the following skills: 

  • Analysing clients’ strategy, operating vision, business imperatives and capabilities. 

  • In-depth experience with Engineering and R&D transformation and process redesign methods. 

  • Knowledge of existing, new and emerging digital technologies and being able to practically apply them to Engineering and R&D operations. 

  • Knowledge in all aspects of designing and constructing end-to-end Engineering and R&D business processes, functions and organizational structures. 

  • Ability to create original concepts and theories for improving growth and efficiency through digital Engineering and R&D transformation. 

  • Facilitating development of assets and solution frameworks that combine knowledge of the Engineering and R&D business processes and issues, technology trends and digital priorities. 

  • Defining use cases and associated reference solution architectures for digital Engineering and R&D operations and explore them within client conversations. 

  • Collaborating with client stakeholders to identify and prioritizing value opportunities and develop digital Engineering and R&D transformation roadmaps. 

  • Developing the business case, solution architecture, and implementation roadmap for clients’ transformation journeys. 

  • Providing strategic consultation to clients in defining or designing business capabilities, processes, functions and organizational structures, as well as in researching, identifying and internally marketing, selling and enabling technologies based on business and end-user requirements. 

Key differentiators: 

  • Engineering and R&D operational experience in at least 2 of the following industries: 

  • Aerospace & Defence 

  • Electronics & High Tech 

  • Energy & Utilities 

  • Automotive 

  • Industrial Equipment  

  • Consumer Goods & Services 

  • Life Sciences 

  • PLM solution experience with the following: 

  • Siemens Teamcenter 

  • Dassault Systemes 3DExperience 

  • SAP PLM 

  • Experience with innovation management and project and portfolio management solution platforms. 

  • Understanding of cloud powered use cases and architectures. 

  • Experience with Digital Twin and Digital Thread technologies and functional application. 

  • Professional experience in business development support, RFP response and consulting services sales. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. 

  • Knowledge and understanding of different types of business and operating models (existing, new, emerging and hybrid). 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of facilitation and organization change management. 

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts and theories for a variety of projects. 

  • Experience leading multidisciplined, high-performance work teams. 

  • Exhibited skills in leading program management efforts involving the coordination of resources and goals across multiple related projects. 

  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
