Please note: We're all currently working remotely due to Covid-19. We hope to be back in the office later this year.

Location can be flexible (some time to be spent in Cambridge or London offices).

If you like working with internal senior stakeholders and external advisers, whilst significantly contributing to the engagement and attraction of employees, then this is a role for you. We see this as a very rewarding role, you are advising and educating PA employees and potential new hires on everything to do with shares, which quite frankly we all need a bit of a guidance on! You will be leading the legal and tax matters for PA share equity.

Brand new role within our Personal Tax and Share Plan team. A unique opportunity, you won’t be filling any shoes, but can make it your own. Whilst we have a clear vision for the role, as it evolves, you have the freedom to shape the role ensuring key objectives are met.

Following the announcement of the successful completion of Jacobs’ strategic investment in PA, we have taken a holistic view of the shares and how we manage this internally with our more than 3,200 PA employees who own 35% of our global business.  Unlike most consulting businesses, PA’s aim is for all employees to be owners as well as employees of our growing firm.  This has led to the design of our new role where you will work alongside our existing Share Plan Manager. This role will complement existing skills and experience and fullfill an area of which we currently are stretched to deliver.

The vision for this role is to better communicate and educate our PA employees the share plans and process and how to make the most out of such a rewarding benefit.  You’ll be at one with the business, experienced in building relationships, happy to answer queries and guide people through the process. You’ll be there to support recruitment when hiring senior people and talk them through the equity options they have and how we can help them make the most out of it. We go above and beyond for our employees and you will play a big part in the success of this.

You will support our people with tax guidance notes and calculators to help them meet their personal tax obligations.  You will also lead on tax reporting for the company as required in the UK and where necessary outside the UK.

What we're looking for

Working with our trusted external advisers on scheme compliance and developments, we would like you to ideally come from a law or finance/ tax background, both will be hugely relevant and transferable. A numbers person, you will like the data side and use it to inform decisions and help guide your stakeholders.  You will provide support to our existing Share Plans Manager on managing our overall share data.  A talent for precision around wording in a law abiding setting will be expected.  You’ll be familiar or will have the capability to learn and pick up how to write papers for senor people.  A confident communicator, you’ll relish the opportunity to pitch to people our shares plans and track record.

Once you’ve joined us you will have full access to our academy of training and development courses giving you the opportunity to upskill yourself and help you hit milestones within your personal development plan. You’ll also benefit from additional support designed to help you integrate into the firm and connect and build relationships with other colleagues across our network.
