Job Description:

A career within Financial Risk and Regulatory services, will provide you with the opportunity to help business leaders embed a proactive and dynamic risk management capability and approach into their corporate business practices. We are seeking to recruit an ambitious regulatory/compliance senior professional to join our Regulatory Consulting team within our consulting practice.

This position will be based in our offices in Spencer Dock, Dublin. As a Senior Manager you will work closely with clients to provide high quality regulatory advice, thought leadership and technical support to the financial sector. We work closely with regulators, industry groups and businesses to help clients anticipate, understand and respond to regulation and policy

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of:

The role of the Senior Manager is to work closely with the Director of the team and wider PwC-Advisory Consulting practice to develop our practice offering in this area.

This will involve the preparation of high-quality client deliverables.

More specifically, responsibilities include:

●   Engaging with current and potential clients and building relationships with them

●   Preparing and submitting regulatory proposals

   Supporting the wider financial services team in developing the PwC proposition 

●   Engaging with other parts of the PwC firm (Ireland and internationally) and network to promote the Regulatory Consulting services

●   Winning assignments, particularly in the areas of regulation

●   Member of the financial services management team

   Leading project teams and providing on-the-job learning and coaching

●   Delivering high quality client projects

●   Managing project and programmes

●   Complying with PwC’s quality and risk standards

●   Drafting practical thought leadership articles and publications on topical areas of regulation

●   Supporting business development initiatives

●   Carrying out other ad hoc support and projects     

 

Education / professional qualifications:

    A recognised University degree or equivalent (minimum grade 2.1)

●   LCOI or equivalent qualification confers advantage

 

Experience required:

●   9+ years in industry role or 7+ in similar consulting role, ideally in a big 4 professional services firm

●   Experience within a regulated market, candidates will need to demonstrate depth and breadth of experience particularly in areas such as Risk and/or Compliance Functions, Operational Resilience, Outsourcing and Governance.  

Skills:

 ●   Strong inter-personal skills

●   Strong business development acumen

●   An ability to work effectively under pressure

●   Strong analytical and report-writing skills

●   An ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams

●   A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

●   MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

 ●   Strong communication skills, specifically an ability to express ideas clearly and concisely verbally and in writing

●   Solid track record of demonstrated career achievements and academic excellence

●   The ability to interact with various levels of clients and firm management

●   Ability to develop effective relationships within the team

●   flexible approach to individual and team work highly motivated self-starter

●   commitment to exceptional client service and intellectual curiosity

●   Ability to self-direct and build good client relations

●   Strong commercial focus and business acumen
