Job Description & Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Financial Services (FS) Advisory team. The role will be based in PwC’s offices in Spencer Dock, Dublin 1, however, due to the nature of client service, travel (including international) may be required.

Our Financial Services (‘FS’) Consulting team is a team of 100 professionals with a variety of backgrounds and experience across the insurance, banking and asset & wealth management (AWM) sectors. Our team has a range of skills, spanning strategic, operational and specialist regulatory experience to solve complex problems for our clients, many of whom are global financial institutions. This team is part of the wider Consulting team of 450 people, who work in PwC Ireland’s Advisory Line of Service.

As part of the FS Consulting team you will have the opportunity to work with like-minded, high-performing individuals as well as collaborating with colleagues from the wider Consulting team and global PwC network. Our multi-disciplinary teams are structured to best meet our clients’ requirements, with appropriate skills, expertise and levels ranging from in-depth technical knowledge through to hands-on practical experience.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an inner drive to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, will collaborate effectively within our team and use their experience and skills to provide best-in-class services to our clients. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Financial Services (FS) Advisory team.  The role will be based in PwC’s offices in Spencer Dock, Dublin 1, however, due to the nature of client service, travel (including international) may be required. 

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Essential skills required

  • Experienced compliance and/or regulatory professional with a minimum of eight years experience within Financial Services and/or consulting experience from a professional services, advisory or internal consulting environment.

  • Understanding of the CBI requirements around relevant regulations, e.g. F&P standards

  • Strong understanding of e-money regulations

  • Good understanding around compliance and risk management - AML / KYC / Third Party Oversight

  • Strong Stakeholder management skills

  • Client focused and commercially astute

  • Excellent understanding of leading business practice

  • Project / programme management experience

  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptable and with an innovative approach to work and change

  • Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences

  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills

Essential experience required

  • Previous experience dealing with the Irish and/or UK regulator

  • In-depth experience in compliance monitoring and quality assurance

  • Leading projects to deliver results for clients within agreed deadlines and budgets

  • Experience in managing teams of resources on multiple assignments running simultaneously

  • Continually managing client and internal stakeholder expectations

  • Overseeing and delivering formal and informal reports and presentations

  • Leading, preparing and presenting compelling proposals for new client work

Other experience – desirable  

  • A relevant primary or advanced degree e.g. finance, business, law, engineering, MBA or equivalent

  • Professional compliance qualification, ACOI or CAMS, advantageous

  • Formal project management qualifications e.g. Prince2
