The Team

Clients call our established Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) team when they need to implement step-change and sustainable cost reductions that will leave their organisations leaner, stronger and more agile to compete and fuel future growth. Starting with a rapid result assessment, we identify a portfolio of high impact opportunities to improve EBITDA and cash flow across the enterprise, ranging from quick wins to the ‘tough calls’ that deliver transformational results. In these instances, the services of our Transformation team include:

  • Rapid Result Assessment
  • Quantified EBITDA / Cash Improvements
  • Organisational Redesign and Management Architecture
  • Downsizing international business units and operations
  • Interim Management

The Role

Our pan European CTS team continues to grow. An opportunity exists for us to strengthen the team at Senior Director (junior Partner) level to provide resources and leverage to a growing and highly experienced senior management team. We are seeking a talented, ambitious, experienced and entrepreneurial operational restructuring practitioner who is interested in developing their career in the much sought-after rapid transformation space. Typically, successful appointees in the team:

  • Possess excellent financial skills, analytical rigour and a demonstrable track record of success
  • Have proven track record in operational restructuring including the optimisation of all aspects of a business, ideally gained within an organisation with a manufacturing facility of significant size, scale and complexity
  • Have proven expertise in Turnaround and Restructuring gained in a major advisory firm (the blend of industry and professional services experience is essential for success in this role)
  • Be experienced in Turnaround Management, including business plan development and financial projections development
  • Ability to conduct an initial rapid diagnostic into the company's immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, major operational issues, market position and options for restructuring      
  • Reviewing performance figures and analysing data to develop fact-based analysis to examine the root cause of problems
  • Developing and implementing performance improvement solutions to solve under-performance on both cost and revenue lines
  • Have excellent negotiating skills, ideally gained in an operational restructuring environment, whether in the context of commercial / supplier agreements, closure of an entity/divestment of assets, negotiating with banks, or dealing with management teams or trade unions.
  • Robust understanding of accounting and business plan modelling

A Senior Director will also be able to sell additional work by successfully identifying client needs, facilitating the definition of the role and winning client trust. Ultimately, the successful appointee will be recognised by the client as the lead for value contributed on engagements and therefore build his/her own credible network of contacts and referral sources with clients, professionals and institutions.
