The Applied Science team is expanding its client base in the biotechnology and medical technology sector and is looking for consultants that want to work on projects across genomics and gene therapy space, as well as more broadly across biotech.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have a proven background within genomics and cell & gene therapy and be able to demonstrate industrial experience in this fast-moving sector.  They should have a solid technical grounding in genomics / cell and molecular biology, but ideally be hungry for more commercial exposure and the opportunity to approach these topics from a “big picture” perspective. 


The candidate must have:

  • Strong first degree in genetics, genomics or molecular biology (or related subject area)
  • Proven experience working on technologies within genomics, cell & gene therapy. These can be therapies themselves or related technologies such as diagnostics, clinical sequencing, manufacturing equipment etc.
  • Super communication skills. Consulting is not for wall flowers!  You should be comfortable discussing technical subject matter to both technical and the lay.
  • A great head for analytics. Your decisions should be data-led and demonstrable


Ideal criteria:

  • Direct experience within a consulting or commercially-orientated role.
  • Proven (published) background in genomics or cell and gene therapy
  • Experience in cell and gene therapy manufacturing
  • PhD desirable, but not essential
