Sourcing & Commercial Role
Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting at Principal Consultant level, but with a particular focus on experienced sourcing and commercial consultants. Our clients need help in understanding current market trends, what suppliers are offering in the next evolution of sourcing propositions and what that means to their organisation.

We’re seeking much more than individuals who happen to have worked on sourcing initiatives. We want people who understand the market, the latest trends from suppliers and solution providers including different commercial models that can meet the client’s needs. We want candidates who know how technology really works within a business and how to get the best solutions from the marketplace. As a Sourcing & Commercial consultant within our consultancy business you will be working collaboratively with clients to shape and deliver high quality outcomes, the following are the key skills, experience and capabilities that we are looking for in an individual with a proven track record to execute: -
We’re looking for IT Sourcing and Commercial consultants who will be instrumental in leading and delivering high quality solutions with some of the largest FTSE 100 and DAX listed clients in Europe.
We currently provide services across the full IT Sourcing lifecycle to a variety of clients spanning a number of sectors. The demand for these services continues to grow as organisations look to the future and how IT and its supply chain can continuously align to the changing needs of their business. Our consultants must be able to engage at all levels, providing independent and advice to support sourcing and commercial initiatives.
Candidates should demonstrate skills and experience in one or more of the following
- Provide consulting solutions across end to end sourcing lifecycle:
- Developing evidence based sourcing strategies that align to organisational goals and imperatives
- Executing rigorous, but lean sourcing implementation programmes including drafting and negotiating effective contracts
- Delivering input and advice to help clients remediate problems and maximise value from established key supplier relationships
- Work closely with procurement and business functions at clients to clearly define and execute sourcing strategies
- Assess target function effectiveness including processes and baseline data to understand gaps to best practices and develop procurement strategies
- Manage execution of sourcing strategies including supplier engagement during RFI/ RFP processes and supporting supplier negotiations
- Create and deliver senior CxO level presentations throughout the consulting engagements
- More than 8 years in consulting and with exposure to a broad range of sectors and clients
Additional application instructions
- Developing robust business cases to underpin any IT operating model change, sourcing and/or IT transformation project
- Performing detailed gap analysis and benchmark exercises of existing client contracts as part of ongoing performance reviews and service improvement initiatives
- General knowledge of the IT supplier market, the key players, their strengths and weaknesses and the ability to relate these capabilities to client challenges and communicate this effectively
- Strong business acumen – with awareness of the current business environment and the challenges it presents to organisations
- Demonstrating excellent stakeholder management with both clients and suppliers operating at all levels to build effective relationships and accountability
- Supporting transition/project delivery to enable the client to move to the future IT state
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a related study, or equivalent experience
