Become part of the Team

The Human Factors (HF) team within PA’s Product Development & Engineering (PDE) function forms a critical link in PA’s capability to offer end to end innovation, proof of concept, prototyping and later stage development/product lifecycle services.  Working with a diverse range of clients that span life sciences, FMCG, consumer electronics and many more industry verticals, the HF team supports our client base across their product development activities.

This is a great opportunity to take lead on exciting HF workstreams, where you will have the autonomy and flexibility to drive success.  Embedded within PA’s Innovation capability teams, the incumbent has the advantage of being surrounded by experts in industrial design, engineering, software, analytics and electronics; providing a truly 360 service to our client base.  We believe passionately about human-led design and using the insights gleamed form HF studies to inform the development of impactful products for human health.

What we're looking for

Due to an exciting growth in our medical device and diagnostic client-base, we are looking for an experienced HF specialist that has a firm grasp of product development within regulated industries.  This is a great opportunity to join PA at a senior technical level and help deliver multi-stage projects worth hundreds of pounds.  You should blend the qualities of being a human factors subject matter expert, project management and external-facing client skills – in short, to be both hands-on technical and project delivery focused.

This opportunity would suit someone already working in a consulting environment who is perhaps looking for their next step up the seniority ladder and is ideally wanting to work for a larger organisation that has exposure to larger, more strategic client projects.  Alternatively, we would also be interested in candidates that have direct experience in human factors and project development from within the medical device or Dx industry who feel consultancy is the next logical career move.

With consultancy comes a client-focused lifestyle, so expect the opportunity to travel internationally and to engage with clients at the highest levels of their innovation organisation.

This opportunity would suit someone who perhaps is working in a HF team and is seeking more autonomy and ownership of complete HF studies, and would welcome the direct client contact PA offers.
