We are looking for a senior level Electronics Engineer to join our growing team at our technology centre in Melbourn, Herts.


Role specifics

The role will involve working closely with your colleagues and our clients on a wide range of assignments at a senior level. You will be an important part of both leading projects whilst still being hands-on developing creative technical solutions for break-out products and manufacturing processes. Your role may range from creating a novel wirelessly connected product, developing a high performance data processor to designing an innovative medical device. Our clients need us to work at the cutting edge and you will be ready to lend them your considerable knowledge and expertise.


What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have proven industrial exposure running product development projects.  Please note, this is not a pure PM role, so you will need to have strong hands-on skills and enjoy being directly involved in solutions development.


Technical skills (essential):

  • Leading work streams/programs of work
  • Product development experience
    • should be able to demonstrate knowledge from the concept phase through design, to manufacture
  • Analogue/digital circuit design
    • Including high speed and low power
  • Embedded systems design
  • An appreciation of EU and USA legislation
    • including EMC, WEEE, ROHS etc. and their implications
  • ‘Hands-on’
    • should have strong practical skills and experience of debugging electronic systems on the bench

Technical skills (desirable):

  • Low power design and power electronics
  • Micro-controllers, micro-processors
  • Embedded software in C
  • Communication systems
  • Volume design experience
  • Medical/EN60601 experience


Personal Qualities:

  • Energy and enthusiasm to take on new challenges in a diverse range of industry sectors coupled with the ability to innovate and think freely
  • Strong client-facing skills and a willingness to travel to both meet and work on client sites
  • Proven track record of working in technology teams on complex project-based assignments



  • Degree qualified – minimum 2:1 (Electronic Engineering or related subject)
  • Chartered engineer (optional)
