The regulatory changes impacting audit practices in the U.K. and Europe are having a significant impact on the Restructuring practices of the Big 4 accounting firms. This has created a huge opportunity for growth and A&M has expanded its Restructuring practice significantly attracting top performers from competitor firms in the UK and across Europe.

Our Insolvency & Restructuring practice has established offices in major cities across the UK and they are winning and delivering work at a rapid pace. As a result we are recruiting talented individuals to join this expanding team at Senior Associate level in London.

We are looking for individuals with 4 to 7 years restructuring experience working in Insolvency (formal insolvency or contingency planning) or Restructuring.

Assignments can include multi-stakeholder and often multi-national restructuring advisory engagements and/or UK and cross border insolvency appointments. Projects can also include IBRs, short term cash flow and capital structure analysis.

Successful candidates will gain an exceptional range of experience, working on assignments across the restructuring spectrum.  In addition, once established in the firm, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates.

The person

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA or ACCA with Restructuring practice experience and a strong academic track record
  • Demonstrable experience within a lender, debtor or insolvency professional services team
  • Desire to build on existing skill sets and develop additional knowledge of all restructuring offerings with evident project experience in some / all of the following: IBRs, short term cash flow and capital structure analysis, formal insolvency or contingency planning

In addition to the skills and qualities detailed above, the desired candidate will also demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, confident and impactful presenter
  • Objective, fact based approach to problem solving
  • Driven by values and integrity, talks straight, builds confidence and leads by example

A&M delivers tangible results for corporates, boards, private equity firms, law firms and government agencies facing complex challenges. Our senior leaders, and their teams help companies act decisively, catapult growth and accelerate results. We are experienced operators, world-class consultants, former regulators and industry authorities with a shared commitment to telling clients what’s really needed for turning change into a strategic business asset, managing risk and unlocking value at every stage of growth.
