European Third-Party Resource Manager – (Managing the Subcontractor and Advisor Community)

Working closely alongside and reporting directly into the European Resource Management Director, we are looking for an experienced individual to provide strategic management of our subcontractors and advisors through database creation, management, forecasting and reporting across the European practice areas.  This is a new and exciting role within the business and one that will provide the opportunity for growth and development as the European business continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building our network of contractors and advisors to ensure we can leverage their relationships and drive the increased utilisation of our subcontractor community. The candidate will take ownership of our subcontractors and advisors, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including the business heads of 10 individual business units within Europe.  To be successful you will also need to build relationships with the senior leadership team (MDs/‘Partners’) in each business area and build knowledge and awareness of the talent within their respective teams. 

It is worth noting that the role is new but the practice of using advisors and subcontractors is not. To date, A&M already has a number of advisors across our European network and we already use many subcontractors across our projects. Success will be to leverage these communities more and establish a more cohesive approach across the European firm.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly professional company and will have experience in dealing with tight deadlines, multitasking, working in a fast paced environment and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of seniority. 

Responsibilities:

  • Building and managing a database of subcontractors and advisors to help provide management information to inform resource hiring and strategic decisions
  • Creating, implementing and streamlining current processes (e.g. onboarding; project assignment; billing and payment) to assist with better utilisation of subcontractors etc.
  • Be the go-to person for the European Business for subcontractor staffing matters across all countries in A&M Europe
  • Build a network of advisors with strategic touch points (e.g. newsletters and BD calls) so that we can more effectively leverage their network of senior relationships.
  • Help the resourcing team and business units assess and plan future resource requirements, based on a thorough understanding of both current and future project pipeline.  Able to effectively plan for and advise on conflicts and issues
  • Build strong relationships across the European business with internal stakeholders including senior management, Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Operations teams
  • Input into the delivery of management reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and broader finance team to ensure on-going connectivity between resource management, financial performance, invoicing etc.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Experience in a resource management/ business development/ relationship management type role
  • Degree educated with a number of years work experience in a professional services or corporate environment
  • Knowledge of IR35 advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel)
  • A proficiency in an additional European language is highly advantageous
