We also help our clients navigate complex merger integrations and carve-outs and work for corporations across several industries including Retail, Consumer Products, Industrials, Manufacturing, Media and Healthcare/Life Sciences.

With the growth of the team across Europe, we are looking to bring in a Business Development Analyst to support the Senior team with their go-to-market activities.  Working closely alongside (and reporting into) the Business Development Manager, the ideal candidate’s day to day will include:

Driving targeting activity:

  • Identify corporate targets using our corporate ‘targeting engine’ (proprietary targeting model and ancillary automated tools)
  • Monitor relevant newsfeeds, alerts and market data and consolidate to support targeting initiatives
  • Provide input to ensure the continuous evolution of the ‘targeting engine’

Support and develop outside-in research on companies and ‘Point of View’ documents:

  • Conduct in-depth company research including general overviews, review of services, competition and industry segments
  • Conduct financial analysis including profit & loss review, cost trend analysis and benchmarking

Support the central knowledge management function for CTS, including:

  • Collation, classification and storage of “go-to-market materials - credentials, proposals, ‘Point of View’ documents, industry research papers and team bios
  • Maintain various information databases

Support with general BD, marketing and administrative tasks for the CTS practice:

  • Develop content and gather data for internal and external marketing initiatives (e.g. newsletters, thought leadership articles)
  • General salesforce administration and support with the preparation of reports and relevant material for weekly & monthly team calls                                                          

Ideal candidates will have:

  • University degree (ideally Financial background)
  • Knowledge or previous experience of the corporate market would be useful but is not as essential as a keen and demonstrated interest in learning more about this sector
  • Financial acumen including understanding of the profit & loss statement, key financial metrics and revenue & expenses trends
  • Experience with a CRM system, ideally Salesforce
  • Strong communication and analytical capabilities
  • Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills, gravitas, and be able to form strong working relationships with senior and more junior members of the team and those of other practices
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership of work and work to tight deadlines
  • A positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
  • Fluency in other European languages desirable but not essential
