Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Who we are looking for

Our Consulting practice is focused on working in partnership with clients to deliver sustainable business transformation. We have a number of opportunities to join our Retail and Consumer Procurement & Supply Chain team in various roles. Please review the desirable skills & experience below, we are looking to talk to candidates who have one or more of these skills only at this time.

You will be part of a highly skilled, specialist team within a wider group of Operations professionals. At the same time, you will be encouraged to initiate and develop new ideas to take to our clients. Our highly motivated team have an excellent track record of delivering high quality work to major international clients and has ambitious growth plans for the next few years.

We are currently recruiting at Manager and Senior Manager grade for this team based in either London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow or Edinburgh

Essential skills & experience required

  • Project management experience

  • Business case development

  • Able to lead a team and to work towards shared goals

  • Able to develop self and others

  • Adaptable and with an innovative approach to their work

  • Can effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with different audiences

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and report writing skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Desirable skills & experience required

  • Proven track record in buying direct materials and / or packaging for a Consumer company

  • Digital procurement and supply chain

  • Exposure to different technology solutions used in Retail and Consumer companies

  • Warehouse management and implementing automation solutions

  • Logistics and distribution management

  • 3PL & 4PL distribution models

  • Worked for a Consumer company and / or a Grocer
