Do you have experience of working as an Amazon Web Services CloudFormation Platform Engineer within an Application Development and Maintenance function?
Our client (a leading UK Insurance company) are looking for:
- A Consultant with strong ability to code in Amazon Web Services CloudFormation
- A Consultant with an understanding of Server and Serverless technologies in AWS
- Consultant who is operationally focusedand understandsthe importance of governance, assurance and ongoing management
This role is all about operationalising requirements and building the foundation of a platform.
You will work within a small consulting team and be primarily responsible for coding requirements in AWS CloudFormation and establishing the necessary governance and assurance processes required.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- AWS CloudFormation SME: Must be able to develop against requirements and demonstrate a good overall knowledge of AWS (SSM, Lambda, EC2, ELB Containers, Guard Duty, Flow logs etc)
- Environment experience: Demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focusedDevOps environments and is comfortable working across operational functions (security, architecture teams etc)
- Technical Knowledge:2+ years experience with AWS. Terraform/Infrastructure as Code, Jenkins/Git/Nexus and Linux
The following skills and experience will also be beneficial to your application:
- Technical experience: Knowledge of scripting languages e.g. Python/Java, Ansible, or Puppet/Chef, Docker and containerisation and CloudFormation
