Disputes & Investigations Practice

In the current economic climate, there have been an unprecedented number of business failures, financial frauds and accounting irregularities. These and other events have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a significant number of lawsuits. Dealing with matters of a complex nature requires a broad range of skills and experience.

The Disputes & Investigations Practice at Alvarez & Marsal comprise Forensic Accounting and Investigations, Dispute Advisory, and Forensic Technology Services.

A&M's Forensic Technology team comprises senior forensic and information security technologists, who bring deep expertise in Computer Science and Information Systems, and offer a hands-on approach to collecting, preserving and analysing electronic information.

Forensic Technology Services Include:

• Computer Forensics Investigations;
• Electronic Disclosure Management;
• Data Mining and Database Analytics;
• Information Governance ; and
• Cyber Security.

In today's digital age, an increasing number of files and communications are stored on computer hard drives or sent through e-mail, thus giving forensic technologists the responsibility of gathering, preserving and presenting evidence for trial in an extremely cost effective and efficient way. In litigation (and other related) cases, the processes used to gather, preserve, analyse and present electronic evidence can make or break your case. 

Reason for the opportunity

Against this backdrop of unprecedented growth, an opportunity exists for us to grow the Forensic Technology Services team with the recruitment of a Regional Infrastructure Specialist. Alvarez & Marsal's Global Infrastructure resides in Dallas, TX and operational services are managed by regional teams. The Regional Infrastructure Specialist will support a set of tiered services in Europe, while ensuring global services are consistent, cost-efficient, reliable, scalable and secure.

Responsibilities:

• Administrating and supporting our forensic application environment, contributing to version roadmaps, infrastructure requirements planning, upgrades and maintenance
• Continuously and proactively identifying potential shortfalls and issues in infrastructure, application environment and support organization
• Acting as application support expert for the forensic application environment and actively involved as a support resource in the incident management process
• Solving technical issues in our application environment and infrastructure while working with outside vendors for support as needed
• Contributing to the infrastructure design and driving continuous improvement, ensuring that availability, performance and reliability are guaranteed while performing in line with documented SLA’s
• Change Management / Incident Management / Ticket Handling
• Asset Management

Requirements:

Fully qualified IT engineer with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience supporting large IT environments and experience in

• Microsoft Windows Server (2008/2012R2/2016)
• Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, GPO, NTFS permissions
• Microsoft Clustering
• Automation & scripting via PowerShell
• Microsoft SQL Server Administration
• Systems monitoring and alerting
• HA Virtualized Server Environments (Hyper-V, VMWare)
• Backup Solutions (VEEAM, Backup Exec, Redgate)
• Cisco Networking Administration (switches, firewalls, VPN)
• Storage Management (HPE 3PAR, QNAP, Synology)
• IT Security (Antivirus, Malware, Cyber Security)
• Experience with "kCura Relativity Administration" would be a bonus
