Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of internal and external marketing programmes in the UK and major European markets. Based in London and working as an integral member of the European marketing team and the firm-wide New York based marketing team, this is an exciting and broad-reaching role which will connect with multiple areas of the business and staff at all levels and, as such, demands a flexible and adaptable approach.

Key duties and Responsibilities

  • General marketing: supporting in the delivery of marketing programmes and campaigns across each of the practice areas in Europe.  
  • Produce email campaigns using Hubspot and pull data to enable analysis such as readership and click through rates.
  • Work with Global Marketing to create content and post and track results on social channels (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook).
  • End-to-end collateral production: working with internal clients and the marketing team to understand requirements, and the design team to produce collateral, managing the content, design, print and distribution process.
  • Events: plan and deliver both A&M hosted and external events including manage logistics (book venues and catering, liaise with third parties where necessary on booking stands/set up, arranging merchandise, and booking deliveries), support the production of events collateral such as brochures, stands, invitations, screen graphics, presentations and carry out administration such as managing RSVPs.
  • Copywriting and proof-reading internal and external-facing marketing materials.
  • Assist with the production of regular client and internal newsletters: collating and editing content as well as designing and building newsletters
  • Managing the new joiner biography and headshot process for marketing team to use in marketing communications
  • Work with the marketing team to develop a firm-wide library of collateral, quotes and case studies
  • Administration: supporting the marketing team, updating operational apsects laising with our Global Marketing team, setting up job numbers, processing invoices, assisting with setting up meetings/internal events, reporting on outputs.

N.B. The successful candidate will be working in a developing environment and he/she will therefore be expected to undertake other appropriate duties as required for the effective operation of A&M.

Candidate Requirements

  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic to intermediate Excel (pulling and managing schedules and client lists for marketing purposes)
  • Knowledge of email campaign management, ideally Hubspot
  • Knowledge of administering social media channels
  • Copywriting, proofing and editing skills
  • Knowledge of CRM system, ideally Salesforce
  • Excellent project, time management and coordination skills
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload, juggling multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree educated, ideally within communications and marketing
  • 2 years of B2B Marketing Experience

Knowledge and skills

  • Good communication, ability to listen and understand requirements from internal clients and marketing team; clearly brief designers and third parties setting clear objectives and timelines; managing expectations with stakeholders and the wider marketing team
  • Good working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Hands-on, results and execution-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of professional services
  • Able to work on own initiative and take direction
  • Strong diplomacy skills
  • Experience of using marketing automation systems such as Hubspot is highly desirable
  • Additional European languages an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, a willingness to learn and possesses a ‘can do’ approach, able to ask for help when needed
  • Demonstrates professionalism at all times, acting as an ambassador for the marketing team
  • Good people skills, able to liaise confidently with senior stakeholders when needed
  • A ‘team player’: going above and beyond when required and demonstrates a flexible and helpful approach
