Our European Valuation Services business has offices in London, Frankfurt, Munich, Stockholm and Amsterdam and we provide a full suite of valuation services in the areas of financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions, complex financial instruments, illiquid securities, and private equity and real estate portfolios.

Due to increasing demand for such analysis, A&M is growing this team and we are looking for an experienced Associate to join us in our London office, located in Moorgate in the City of London.

Responsibilities:

• As part of a select and highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to get involved in multiple and complex Valuation engagements, working closely with Managing Directors and Senior Directors
• A&M work with a variety of large-cap and mid-cap PE houses, corporate clients and financial institutions providing you with broad industry exposure
• Use a variety of tools to conduct extensive data analysis and valuation modelling
• Conduct research, synthesize information and develop reports
• You will benefit from formal training in addition to ‘on the job’ learning and development
• Provide support to the team of Managing Directors, Senior Directors and Directors in project execution and business development

Typical projects will include;

• Financial Reporting Valuations (IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Dutch GAAP)
• Tax Valuations
• Fairness Opinions and Commercial Valuations
• PE Portfolio Valuations
• Alternative Investment
• Complex Financial Instruments
• Intellectual Property Valuations
• Valuations for Disputes & Litigation

The ideal candidate will;

• Strong educational background and academic record, including a strong focus on Finance and/or Mathematics
• Working towards or hold a professional qualification – ACA/ CFA/ ACCA
• Experience in Valuations gained at a Big 4 accounting firm, or advisory firm, or investment bank, or independent valuation firm
• In-depth experience conducting Financial Analysis and Financial Modelling
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills such as Dutch, French, Spanish or Italian are advantageous
• Ambitious, with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
