
Finance Consulting Benchmarking - Manager - Private Sector
Responsibilities
As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
- Be involved in the financial management of clients
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
- Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
- Train, coach, and supervise staff
- Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
- Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
Scope of Work / Role
- Supporting the redesign of PwC's Finance and SG&A benchmarking approach and the tools used to deliver our assessments in line with the organisation's evolving digital finance transformation approach.
- Helping design and deliver finance assessment at the beginning of programmes/projects.
- Understanding client requirements, mapping client orgs, running customer surveys, activity analysis.
- Project delivery given some of team management activities and housekeeping programme management.
- Supporting BD activity on weekly basis.
- Involved in client meetings, interviews, facilitating workshops with clients, providing training - senior clients (CFO / COO) presenting analysis to clients - cross sector clients. More focused on sell-design-deliver.
Skills Required
- Strong interest and understanding of Finance function operating models and the impact of emerging technologies.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience of successfully using a range of analytical and presentation tools to assess organisational performance and help clients develop performance improvement plans.
- Confidence with data analysis and presentation.
- Consulting skills.
- Interest in new tools, presenting and analytics tools.
- Curious / continuous improvement mindset.
