Working closely alongside and reporting directly into the European Senior Resource Manager, we are looking for an experienced Resource Manager to provide the strategic resource planning, forecasting and reporting across the European practice areas, covering our offices in Europe.  This is a new and exciting role within the business and one that will provide the opportunity for growth and development as the operations team continues to grow.

The chosen candidate will act as the focal point for Resourcing, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including the business heads of 10 individual business units within Europe.  To be successful you will also need to build relationships with the senior leadership team (MDs/‘Partners’) in each business area and build your knowledge and awareness of the talent within their respective teams. 

The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and highly professional company and will have experience in dealing with tight deadlines, multitasking and the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of seniority. 

Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to person for the European Business for staffing matters across all countries in A&M Europe, with initial focus on our Corporate Transformation and Private Equity Services businesses
  • Help the business units assess and plan future resource requirements, driving utilisation, based on a thorough understanding of both current and future project pipeline.  Able to effectively plan for and advise on conflicts and issues
  • Build strong relationships across the European business with internal stakeholders including senior management, Talent Acquisition, HR, Finance and Operations teams
  • Input into the delivery of management reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Help build management information to inform resource hiring and strategic decisions
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO and broader finance team to ensure on-going connectivity between resource management and financial performance
  • Build awareness of our individual professional’s performance goals and development needs.  Make resourcing decisions that further the continuation of business and individual skill-set development

Personal Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in a Resource Management role
  • Degree educated with a number of years work experience in a professional services or corporate environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (in particular Excel)
  • Previous experience using a Resource Management/ Planning tool (e.g. Retain) would be advantageous but not essential
  • A proficiency in an additional European language is highly advantageous
