A&M brings a wide range of operational, financial and performance improvement services to leading global private equity houses, their portfolio companies and multi-national businesses.  A&M’s Turnaround and Restructuring practice offers critical assistance to companies that are underperforming or experiencing a full blown liquidity crisis whilst the Performance Improvement team will work with healthy businesses looking to grow top line performance and optimize commercial efficiency.

IT Performance improvement

Our BusinessTechnology Performance Improvement team will work with clients across Europe to:

  • Create and implement business strategies with clients focusing on their IT & E-Commerce operations
  • Realign the performance of the technology / IT function through operational restructuring to directly improve the earnings and cashflow within the business
  • Manage and develop technology (ERP, CRM, E-Commerce) assets and systems to meet strategic and operational business requirements. This would include development of KPI’s and dashboards to provide better visibility to the underlying business
  • Lead enterprise wide systems & online programmes in order to deliver performance improvement via business transformation and/or cost reduction programmes
  • Carry out effective technology and E-Commerce due diligence pre-transaction, and provide necessary post transaction services (PMI, Carve Out, 100 day planning)
  • Take interim management positions for example (and depending on experience) CIO, CTO, IT Director, Program Manager, Head of E-Commerce initiatives etc.

Reason for the opportunity

Against this backdrop of unprecedented growth, an opportunity exists for us to strengthen our Business Technology team at the Associate level in order to contribute to a growing and highly experienced Senior Management team. The successful appointee will play a key part in both project delivery and continued business development.

They will be responsible for successfully delivering major projects in such areas as; Strategic IT planning; Enterprise Architecture; Technology Leadership; Business Intelligence; Target Operating Model Design; Customer Management Platforms; IT Transformation programmes;  Enterprise Resource Planning; IT Supplier Performance Management; Global IT Sourcing; Business Process Outsourcing.

The successful individual will have an excellent academic track record coupled with an entrepreneurial approach and proven track record in a leading Advisory firm. The Associate will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, outcome focused business entrepreneur who is driven to making an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

Candidates will have a proven understanding and passion for advisory and their skill set will include:

  • The ability to work as a core member of the team reviewing a client’s immediate and future issues and market position and develop actionable options for strategic and performance improvement. This could include growth strategies, operating model redesign, IT transformation, strategic cost reduction or data-driven insight
  • A consulting toolkit including how to frame a business issue, judiciously find and use internal and external data to test hypotheses and draw conclusions, business model using Excel, structure and write PowerPoint and Word presentations and reports
  • An appreciation of the challenges that businesses face in today’s market conditions. This may include digital transformation, target operating model design,  business intelligence and strategic cost reduction and changes in consumer behaviour

Specifically, the successful candidate will have:

  • Proven track record at a top tier strategy house or equivalent
  • Proven ability to work in teams and create measurable and identifiable improvements
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel modelling skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A very strong academic record including:
    • Robust analytical rigour
    • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging and uncertain environment
  • Fluency in one or more
