Our award-winning Transaction Advisory Group (“TAG”) is currently building on its significant success working with Private Equity firms, Financial Institutions and Corporates across Europe and on a global basis. A&M TAG is the largest transaction advisory practice outside the audit firms. TAG includes over 350 professionals in 22 offices throughout the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. A&M’s deep operational and industry expertise provides TAG with a unique opportunity to perform “smarter” due diligence by providing an integrated and differentiated approach. We are free from audit conflicts and our platform is less restrictive, enabling us to operate cross-border seamlessly.

We are now expanding and we are looking for experienced and ambitious Assistant Directors to join our Transactions Advisory team in London.

A&M Culture

Team members join the weekly TAG meeting where WIP, project pipeline, resourcing, marketing and business development initiatives are discussed. Our Transaction Advisory team work in multi-disciplinary teams on projects across a number of geographies so you would have the opportunity to build and leverage broad international deal experience.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a select and highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage multiple and challenging Transaction Advisory engagements, working closely with many of our European Managing Directors.
  • A&M work with a variety of large-cap and mid-cap PE houses, corporate clients and financial institutions providing you with broad industry exposure.
  • You will be expected to take a senior role on projects, sometimes reporting directly to Managing Directors.
  • You would be expected to coach and develop more junior colleagues.  
  • You would gain constant exposure to the Managing Directors, leveraging their substantial deal experience but also to be actively and proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing.
  • You will be given the opportunity to use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, as well as being given exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction.
  • Our Transaction Advisory team can work alongside operational and commercial professionals in combined project teams enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process.
  • You will be encouraged to internally network with our service lines and to work on external marketing events to build cross- service line relationships.
  • You are expected to be active in the market, supporting and enhancing existing client relationships and in beginning to develop new client relationships.

Essential experience:

  • Previous experience in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence (Transaction Services) is essential in addition to experience across Private Equity or blue-chip Corporates
  • Trained at a Big 4 firm or an established Transaction Advisory (transaction services) practice
  • Experience in the TMT / Software sectors is preferable but not essential
  • Fluent business level English. Additional European language skills including French, Dutch, German, Swedish, Italian or Spanish are highly desirable
  • Experience of actively and pro-actively participating in business development activities
