Joining an established finance team of 19 professionals based in the European Head Office in Moorgate London, this team supports ten offices across Europe, Middle East and Russia as part of the shared service function. 

The Accounts Payable Junior is responsible for the supplier payment runs across our European offices. Invoices are sent over on a weekly basis and need to be checked for approvals, coded and then paid as part of the weekly cycle.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor this key role is customer service focused and an important one stop service for our internal stakeholders, many of whom are very senior and high calibre individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of a team within a shared service centre ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function in order that payment deadlines are met for all European offices
  • Ensuring documents have appropriate approval prior to processing and obtaining where necessary
  • Review account coding for accuracy. Action corrections for errors  and reallocations
  • Compiling and creating a weekly payment run for European offices using Agresso and the online banking platform.
  • Respond to queries/requests for information from Internal Stakeholders and suppliers
  • Review open accounts payable lists monthly
  • Assist with the provision of documents and information for country audits

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent levels of accuracy with strong organisational skills
  • You will be a natural team player who can interact easily with your colleagues and have strong communication skills, and a good sense of humour.
  • Deadline orientated and able to prioritise
  • Competency with Excel and Word
  • A level education and either studying AAT or looking to start in the near future
