Our heritage is restructuring, but for over 30 years we have grown from a premier restructuring boutique to a global consulting firm with more than $1 billion in revenues. Over the course of time we have experienced the shifts in the various regulatory environments around the world.

Establishing a presence in Europe over ten years ago, the European business now has some 600 staff in a broad range of professional services including: Corporate Transformation, Financial Institutions Advisory and Performance Improvement. 

Corporate Performance Improvement in Europe is built on focussed and differentiated offerings with a strong element of innovative and sustainable solutions (emphasising the ‘how’ as well as the ‘what’), and a clear target market. This is underpinned with leaders who inspire business confidence and create a market differentiating approach based on implementation and execution.

Working either in an advisory capacity or taking the reins in an interim C-Suite role, the Corporate Performance Improvement senior management team is a group of industry and other specialists providing clients with solutions to complex business issues in industry specific and other key areas of performance improvement such as: cash management, cost management, revenue enhancement, business operations, customer management and solutions, IT operations, supply chain, merger integration and carve-outs.

Within this team, an opportunity exists for a Director of Digital. We are seeking an individual with deep digital knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills, an entrepreneurial approach and well developed networks to build out our offering in this space. Entrenched in the challenges that face business relating to the digital agenda the successful hire will be experienced in exploiting digital for profitable growth.

The successful appointee will be responsible for contributing to the profile and reputation of the Firm, specifically in the Digital space. He/She will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution focused business entrepreneur who is addicted to having an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

The successful candidate will be a high-energy individual with excellent digital skills and a track record of successfully delivering Digital Transformation programmes. They will possess advisory experience, either from a top tier strategy firm, a leading specialist and/or niche firm or ‘Big 4’ consultancy. Candidates will have a tight grasp on digital trends and challenges in areas such as:

  • Digital and physical convergence
  • Digital transformation
  • Digital technologies and their impact on the overall IT landscape
  • Digital Operating Models
  • Online and multi-channel analytics
  • Increasing the use of digital for customer touch points
  • Impact of digital on physical locations such as retail stores
  • Digital marketing including a focus on acquiring only profitable customers
  • Creating a digital customer proposition
  • Customer loyalty
  • Personalisation and next best action
  • Mobile engagement
  • Customer journeys

Specifically, the Director will have:

·         Clear determination to deliver the latest thinking in digital within a highly competitive advisory marketplace.

·         Advisory experience, either from a top tier strategy firm, a leading specialist and/or niche firm or ‘Big 4’ consultancy

·         Experience of operating at CCO or Digital Director level

·         European industry experience across the Media, Financial Services, Hospitality or Leisure sectors

·         The ability to act as an Interim Director

·         Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment

·         Will be a strong business change agent with a reputation for transforming organisations to drive profit and growth through exploitation of Digital

·         Experience of managing multiple stakeholders including ‘C’ level executives for the delivery of innovative agendas

·         A proven track record in a Business Development environment, ideally having developed his/her own network of clients/contacts

·         The ability to manage distributed teams across multiple locations in Europe, including third-party and in-house teams

·         Commercial exposure to SLAs and third party management.

·         A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is essential. Fluency in one or more European languages is highly desirable, as is an MBA.
